I've been debating about whether I should go in, I've had a cold with coughing, sore throat, runny nose, etc. for over 3 weeks at this point

@MrsSRS: same. But I also haven't been sick beyond regular colds and a random stomach virus, all sucky but not doctor worthy, in quite a while.

If I think it needs medication. My family clinic offers online appts for mild stuff

If I think that I might require some sort of prescription medication. If it is just general cold type symptoms that I can treat myself with DayQuil, I won't go in.

It I think it needs medication, so stuff like a bladder infection, tonsillitis, mastitis. Or if I think I will need a test ordered.

When I've been sick for over 2 weeks or feel like death. DH hates it.
