For the first time DH and I will be sending out holiday cards this year. DH's family celebrates Hanukkah and my family celebrates Christmas. Our cards will be just general "happy holiday season" cards. When do you normally send yours out?

I try to send them out first week of December. I do general holiday ones as well!

We send them out right after Thanskgiving. We just do happy holiday cards, too.

We're a mixed faith family, so we do generic holiday themed ones also. Usually around the first week in December as well.
This year, however, our LO is due around Thanksgiving, and I want to send our holiday cards as birth announcements, so they will probably go out a little late depending on when the photographer gets our newborn pictures back to us.

I orginially planned to send out birth announcments and Christmas cards together, but now I might make them seperate dependign on how hte hospital photograher newborn pics turn out (our session with our photographer isn't until she's 5 weeks old.) I have $60 in Shutterfly gift cards to use.

First week of December! Trying to figure out when we will take ours this year and what we will do for the photo ! We have a crazy dog who doesnt like to sit still -but she has to be in the family photo!

we send it out as soon as we get a chance to go take a santa picture or once our christmas tree is up so we can take family pics in front of it (sometime in early-mid december).

we'll do the same as @Mrs. High Heels, as soon as we get a picture in front of the tree! we put it up the weekend of thanksgiving though, so I'll probably send them out the first week of December

Looks like I'm the odd ball here, but I usually send them pretty darn close to the actual holiday plus a couple days for whatever post office delays. Why? No idea!

@Alivoo01: I think if everyone I was sending one to celebrated Christmas I would wait and send it closer to the 25th. But because we have family that celebrates Hanukkah and our cards say "Happy Holidays" and not "Merry Christmas" I will probably send them the first week in December.

Maybe I'll actually get them out on time this year! We do Merry Christmas, because everyone in our life is celebrating Christmas.

My goal is to send mine by Dec 14. I guess I'm kind of late compared to the rest of you, but better late than never, hopefully!
Interestingly, we've only received one card so far... but we did just move so people may not have our new address.

I like to send them out at the beginning of the month. I got them out on Saturday!

We just put our happy holiday cards in the mail today! I got them out earlier this year than usual since we're due around Christmas and I didn't want them out too close to birth announcements - hopefully, I can keep sending them out on the early side!

We just ordered our last night, should get them on Friday. So I will be addressing them over the weekend to mail out next week. So people should get before Christmas. Fingers crossed.

Ours are going out tomorrow hopefully! They are all stuffed and addressed, just need stamps which I bought this morning.
