We leave for our 2 week vacation on Thursday!
When do you normally start packing for your LO?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm kinda new to travelling with a baby...

Usually that week. I do a little each day. Make a checklist!

I was about to answer "the night before we leave!" until I saw that it was about packing a LO -- cue saucer eyes at realizing I would have absolutely no idea at what to even pack for travel with a baby, let alone when to do it!

2-3 days before. If I start too early I end up freaking out I have forgotten something.

we're going to British Columbia. We do every year (boring!). My parents live out there, so it's cheap (free!) and we get fed. Lol and super beautiful out there too, of course. -
@sunny: haha that's what I'm worried about! That, and packing too early that ill need something I've packed.

@.twist.: yes, thank goodness for HB! British Columbia is so, so gorgeous and not boring at all! How nice that you get to spend such good quality time with your parents (and free + being fed = my kind of vacation)! Hope you have an amazing time

I'd start a few days ahead. I'd have a list ready, but because I'd have to do laundry I probably couldn't start much before that.

I pack so far ahead it's ridiculous. I LOVE to travel, so I get all excited when it's time to pack.

I make a detailed day by day checklist then pack the night before

I write out a very detailed packing list...down to what specific clothing...about a week before. If there's something I can pack ahead of time I do but I usually just run down the checklist and pack the day before we leave.

i typically always do it the day before....and then regret not starting earlier in the week! Laundry, taking care of LO, and packing cannot be done in one day if I want to get to bed at a reasonable time.

I usually make a list. Then do laundry a few days before and as I'm putting away the laundry I set aside what I want to bring. Then I usually put it in the suitcase the day before.

The night before. There's always stuff I need that I can't pack away cause I need it while I'm home, and I suck at making good complete lists, so if I have to do it all at once to make sure I get everything.

@.twist.: me and DS have spent most of our summer in BC! At my mom's. I made a list ahead of time, but didn't start packing until a couple days before as I found a lot of the stuff I needed to use until we left.
PS: it is a good time to come out as the weather has been crappy but is starting to turn around now.
