I feel like baby coughs take forever to go away. I took C to the doctor earlier this week for an ear infection. She had a cough, but nothing too worrisome. She's been on antibiotics for 4 days now but her cough is worse, mainly at night... w/ some wheezing, but I can't tell if that's because she needs to clear her throat or if it's in her lungs. She has her 9 month visit on Tues, but I might reschedule.
When do you take you LO in for a cough?

Depends. If it's a dry cough that only comes at night which DD 1 gets often, hardly ever. It's more of an allergy issue for her so we just make sure to clean her room well, run run the air purifier all day and humidifier at night.
When it sounds phlegmy is when I take her in.

My ped says two weeks for a cough unless there is wheezing, then sooner.

Opposite of Regberadaisy. Wet Phlegmy coughs we know will eventually go away.
The dry cough that is terrible at night is what we go in for. I finally recorded it, since it's never as bad when we actually go into the doctors.
Doctor ended up giving B a nebulizer after hearing the recording.

I bring her in if she is waking up from her coughs miserable/crying, or if it has been more than 2 weeks. But for the most part I run the humidifier and wait it out.

3ish weeks or if I see signs of weakness and bruising for LO 1. She had a platelet issue last year.

Dd has had a wet cough on and off for the last 4 months! She usually coughs in the middle of the night. I called the doctor and they suggested giving her Claritin and said I didn't have to bring her in unless she had a wheezing/rattling chest when she coughs..
Allergy meds havent helped much so I'm gonna take her in next week!

The only time we have taken DS to the ped for a cough was after about 2.5-3 weeks.
