I have seen lots of blogs saying school starts in the next week or so - wow!!
Here in PA we start the Tuesday after Labor Day.
When do you start?

The district I work in and surrounding districts in Texas start August 25.

Schools here start August 25th.

It varies here. One of the districts started this week. Some next week. The district that we live in goes back August 6.

Teacher orientation day is the day after Labor Day. Students begin the day after that.

Our year round schools started 3weeks ago. Traditional schools go back mid august.

Schools here can't start earlier than August 25th

@Mamaof2: Ours gets out the week before Memorial day. It's just too hot here to go to school in the summer! lol The one's that start this week and next I believe are year round/modified year round. They go three months on, one month off - or something like that. Again that's not our school district so I don't pay that close attention.

Most schools are the first week in August. Every county is different. They done the 3rd week in May usually.

August 25th! Exactly a month... We are starting school supply shopping this week, eek... Wish ours was after Labor Day...

I am in Canada, which seems to be much different!
Our school Normally starts Early September. Like, September 9th?
However, we also have year round schooling, which longer stretches of holidays during the school year and one month off over summer holidays, back to school in August.
