i think it drops a day before you get your period, and i've read that most women's luteal phases are 12-14 days.

@MrsBrewer: it spikes for ovulation and stays elevated until about the day before your period and then it drops.

@Vegmama: @Ash: I wonder if I actually ovulated then! (Just a few days ago) so from my chart do you actually think I did then? I started taking Provera (for my really long cycle) on the day before my temp went up.

I used to have a little pre ovulation dip but usually it rises afterwards

I think the Provera might cause the temp increase as it's manipulating the hormones to get your cycle restarted, and the hormones changing is what causes the temp pattern.

@MrsBrewer: I don't know a whole lot about provera but from the looks of the current spot in your chart, I'd think you o'd - I'd be interested in seeing what the next few days show.

@MrsBrewer: I believe Provera increases your progesterone, which raises your temp, so that could be the cause of your temp shift.
