I am beginning to wonder how in the world we wound up with the worlds earliest bed time! She decided, somewhere along the line, that the 8 pm bed time we were trying to get her on should actually be 7 pm. I mean, sure, it isn't THAT early but darn it! It really restricts what we can do! (I shouldn't complain. We also have the worlds best sleeper so... *knocks on wood)
When id your LO's bed time and did they choose it or did you?

Lo's bedtime is 7pm, that mainly came about because our daylight savings ended a few weeks ago, but when we would be running behind on the bedtime routine we found that lo can't handle being awake any later then 7pm so 7pm is when she's in bed at the latest. She's 19 months. (And for the longest time she would prefer going to sleep later but that has changed in the last few months!)

LO's bedtime was 7 pm until right about the time that she turned 2. We moved, and it really threw everything off and she ended up with an 8 pm bedtime. Now that she's 3, we are trying to figure out what to do about bedtime and naps again, as she's been having trouble falling asleep at night.

7:30! She's a year old and has been doing this bedtime since about 6 months.
7 isn't early! My friend struggles to keep her little girl up past 6!! I think 7 is pretty normal

My LO (12m) bedtime is around 6:30/7pm and has been since he was about 2.5m old. He just started to fall asleep earlier and earlier so he chose his bedtime himself.
We do still keep him up later on weekends or on vacation but then we see to it that he gets a late afternoon nap, usually in the stroller. Luckily for us he will just sleep longer in the mornings. But he's at his best (mood wise) when he goes down at his bedtime.

DS's bedtime was 7:00 from ages 2-6. Now he has just recently graduated to an 8:00 bedtime. Once I can, I'll put M on a 7:00 bedtime.

DD1's bedtime is 7:30 pm - she's 22 months and has had this bedtime, or thereabouts, since she was only a few months old. All decided by her.
DD2's bedtime is 6:00 pm, also decided by her. I keep trying to push it back a bit so her 9-10 hours of straight sleep will coincide with a more normal wake up time for me, but alas, she is holding fast to 6:00 pm. She is 11 weeks old.

7 pm. Sometimes if she skips her third nap, she goes to bed as early as 6:30. Just depends.

Xander naturally started falling asleep around 7:30 on his own, and we've reinforced this as his bedtime since he has to get up around 7:00 a.m. for daycare!

7:45-8:00 pm and we go by his cues. He only sleeps a max of 10hrs per night so 6am bedtime is about as early as any of us want to get up.

We aimed for a 7pm bedtime but LO gets frantic if she isn't in bed by 6pm - 6.30pm! It was 5.45pm last night (she isn't very well)!!
You're right - it does limit what you can do. It also limits how much time we get with her on weekdays - we get home from work and it's straight into the bathtime, bedtime routine.

I will be honest, for the first two years of my son's life, I didn't pay too much attention to the time he went to sleep, I let him dictate more or less, but it was okay because we didn't have to get out of the house at a set time in the mornings.

Usually around 7:00. It fluctuates from 6:30-8. He's pretty flexible if we need to keep him out later. The earliest he has ever gone to bed was 5:30, but that is because he skipped his second nap.

@rahlyrah: On Friday, E skipped ALL of her naps (she can't sleep at daycare). That's probably why she goes to bed so early!!!

his bedtime for over a year has been sometime between 7-8 depending on time of year, DST, etc.
this past week he transitioned himself to one nap so we've putting him down latest by 7.
he sleeps 7/730-8 and naps around 1230 for a cpl hours

Ours is usually around 7:30 - but some nights it's 8, especially work nights he ends up going to bed later.

We don't have a set time but they tend to go to sleep somewhere between 9-1030.
Eta: they're 6mo & DH is a SAH so there isn't a morning schedule to contend with. And I love that once I get home from work I have the whole evening to spend with them before they go to bed. It works well for us.

My 18 month goes to bed at 5:30. Like, in bed, head on the pillow at 5:30. When she was younger, it was 5 pm. She's an awesome sleeper! I think we have the world's earliest bedtime though. It's kind of nice because it has given us lots of adult time.
I get her up at 5:30 am so she can be out the door at 6am for daycare though, so if we didn't need to get up so early she probably would have a different bedtime.

G's bedtime is 6:30-7 and we went by her cues. At first it was 9, then 8, then 7:30, and now she gets incredibly cranky if we don't have that nighttime bottle in her mouth by 6:30! She's always woken up at 5:30-6am, even when she went to bed later, so I'm glad she moved her bedtime back enough to get about 11hours of sleep!

It was 7 from 4-10 months and then 730 until around 15 months.

15 months old. Has been going to bed at 7:15/7:30 since at least 5 months. If we have not started her bedtime routine by 7:10/15, DD will let us know it's time. She has a ridiculously accurate internal clock.

He goes down at 7, but sometimes stays up talking in his crib until close to 8, but most of the time he starts getting really cranky by 6:45 and will stand by the crib until I put him in it.

LO's bedtime has been pretty close to 7 since she was about 5 months old. Her internal clock for bedtime has always been around 7pm. She needs at least 11.5 hours overnight.

C goes to bed between 7:30 and 8. I would say we figured it out together, not her or us choosing. Any earlier than 7:30 and she wouldn't see DH at all most days, so I really didn't want it to be that early. Sometimes she is really tired though, so we have to, but other days she's fine going down at 8. If DH comes home right at 7:30 she gets all excited to see him and bedtime is usually on the later end.
She usually sleeps until about 6:30 and rolls around and makes noise until we get her at 7.

It used to be 7:30, but about 6 months ago, we started putting him down later and now it's around 9. We have a nanny, so he doesn't have to wake up early in the morning and he will actually sleep in later if he goes to bed later, so it works for us. However, I know we will have to adjust his bedtime once he starts preschool in the fall.

She was between 7-7:15 but since Daylight Savings we are closer to 7:45-8. She's playing outside longer so it pushed everything about a 1/2 hour. She's in meltdown mode when we bring her in!

It used to be 8, but she really couldn't handle it, so now it's 7:30. I think for a while, 7:30 was still to late, but now that she's napping better, she can handle it.
