Gahhh I'm jealous. We already had to takes ours down.
We ended up just getting ours from a grocery store here in town instead of going to a farm and cutting a fresh one like we normally do and, despite watering it and taking great care of it, the tree completely dried up and was losing all of its needles. We took it down Sunday.

It's shedding really bad, so it'll be gone by this weekend. I'll start taking off ornaments on Thursday and get DH to take it out to the creek this weekend.

I think maybe the day after Christmas... it's been drying up the past few days!

I usually take mine down the weekend after New Years so around Jan 4/5 this year. I like leaving it up as long as possible. So nice to look at but such a pain to take down and pack everything away!

We usually take it down on the 6th, but with moving on the 11th and being heavily pregnant, I might get DH to take it down for me on New Years Day - he only has the stats off.

Not until after Epiphany, which is January 5th this year. If we can swing it, we might wait until the following weekend. It's live, but so far, it's looking good! I hate taking down the tree right after Christmas-it makes me sad!

We wait until after epiphany as long as the tree is still fresh enough.

We didn't get ours up til just a couple of weeks ago, because I don't like starting on Christmas stuff until Thanksgiving is over and Wagon Jr.'s birthday was the next week. We usually leave ours up FOREVER since it's a fake tree. Probably sometime in late January or early February is when it will come down!

Probably within a few days. DD keeps yanking on the ornaments, and the tree is starting to really dry out.

This coming weekend, probably. Or the weekend after. It all depends on if we feel up to wrestling with it this weekend or not.

Whenever DH makes me, which is either New Year's Day or the weekend afterward. I ️ Christmas, so it always makes me sad to take it down!

Epiphany is usually our tradition. I'll be sad to take it down, C loves it so much! He asks me "tree?" every morning and wants the lights on!

Before New Years. That was the rule growing up and we all still follow it! You only get one tree per year, so if you leave it up past the new year then you don't get one next Christmas.

Probably sometime on the 31st, since my parents will still be here. I think DH would appreciate the help, and I can't do much because I'm still chained to our LO like 20 hours a day...

@PurplePeony: that's in interesting rule! Very clever for the kiddies. When does it go up?
I'm thinking ours won't go out till February. I love the smell!

@coopsmama: we are in the same situation but I refuse to let it go already! I'm never going to try new tree places again!

By Jan 3rd. It's getting really dry already and we have guests arriving on the 4th. Oh and our cleaning lady is on vacation rom the 8th - 23rd and there's no way I'm cutting that thing into bits and dragging it down to the trash room all by myself, so it's got to go while she's still here to help me!

We usually leave it up until the new year but this year we are having a large holiday party on the 28th and need more room so it will be coming down before then.

I like to leave it up through New Years. It'll probably go out the first trash day in January.

This weekend!! I'm due any day. We're having a home birth & I don't want the tree up for it.

I usually take my decorations down the weekend after New Years. I think that's also when the boy scouts will be collecting trees in our neighborhood, so that works out.
