I thought you were supposed to wait until 1 to give dairy. Is that just milk? My LO is 8 months. we've tried many veggies and fruit. Can I introduce eggs? Yogurt? Anyone have a good timeline of when to give what?

Just milk needs to wait. Different dairy products have different enzymes. Some are easier to break down than others. We started yogurt very early on. Eggs came a little later(9-10 months) but also brought a sensitivity with them

We did eggs at 7 months and just started yogurt at 8 months. He loves them both so much! And I love knowing he's getting good protein.

We did eggs at six months. Cheese and yogurt around 7 (but you can start earlier), and milk waits until 12.

We started yogurt around 6.5 months. Loves it. We also gave him eggs at 7 months, but he wasn't crazy about them. I'm planning on trying again soon, now that he's 8 months old.

Eggs, yogurt, cheese at 9 months for us. I think earlier for LO 1, 8?

We did egg yolks at 6 months, cheese at 7 months and yogurt at 8 months. We just did egg whites last week- (10 months) he doesn't like them though, so I keep giving him the yolks!

We've been doing yogurt (LO is 9 months). If you're worried about egg allergy, I hear the allergen is in the whites, you could start with just yolks.

We started both at 6.5 months. My pedi told us not to worry about the egg (white) allergy unless someone in our immediate or immediate extended family (uncles, cousins, etc) had an egg allergy.

We did eggs right away, she is dairy intolerant so soy or almond yogurt not long after.

We did yogurt at 7 months but it gave him diaper rash. I plan to try again soon. He had eggs for the first time yesterday at 8.5 months.

@brady80: Whole milk yogurt. You can buy plain in a tub and mix with fruit. You could also do Yo Yo Baby (although the sugar content is a little high) or some of the organic pouches have yogurt blends.

we did whole milk greek yogurt at 6 months, and eggs at the same time (first the yolk then the whole egg).

@brady80: Whole milk plain greek yogurt. I like the Stonyfield Organic brand. I mix in some of his pureed fruit blends. He loves it!

We did whole milk yogurt early - maybe around 7 months? Eggs, we started w / yolks around 8 months and then introduced whites a couple months later. Can't remember exactly when but definitely prior to a year.
Whole cows milk, we didn't introduce until she was a year old

@brady80: we started off with organic Yobaby. Switched over to trader joes yogurt bc they were much higher in fat and calories.
