We started TTC again after I got AF for the first time, so about 5 weeks after the D&C. Emotionally, it's what I needed to do. I had to feel like I was doing something (even though, obviously, I had very little control). My doctor said that waiting for AF would give my body the chance to heal and waiting any additional time would be mainly for emotional healing.

I saw you mentioned getting the genetic testing done and I think that was a big part of my healing process. I think I got my results back about 3 weeks after the D&C. We found out that our baby had Turner's Syndrome (one of her X chromosomes wasnt fully formed).Its a chromosomal abnormality that is seemingly random and did not increase our chance of m/c in the future. Something about that information made it a bit easier to move forward. One thing to note is that this testing reveals the gender, so if you don't want to know (I knew by default because Turner's only affects girls), be sure to tell your doctor.

Feel free to wall me if you have any more questions. My experience was just over 2 years ago and when that day came last month, it brought back so many feelings. I will tell you that I experienced so many emotions (and boy, I was pissed for awhile), but eventually it gets a little better. Time helped more than anything and when I got pregnant again, I was terrified and anxious the entire time. I don't want to say that it was "worth it" at all, but sitting here holding my 9 month old makes that whole awful time seem lightyears away. I hope the same for you. It sucks, but it will get better.

@jaguar: your one frozen embryo could be your second LO. Don't give up the faith!

So so sorry for your loss . I don't have any advice, but I'm hoping your doctors will be able to monitor you and get you started as soon as you are comfortable doing so. Love and light headed your way.
