I'm just curious really! LO is 12 months and she cannot stay still for a second, which is perfectly normal, I'm sure!
I'm booking flights for next year, when she will be 23 months, and I'm wondering whether to get her her own seat, or whether it will be just as tough to keep her in that seat as if we were holding her?!

My LO cannot sit still at all at 24.5 months. Not sure if she ever will! We bought her her own seat at 23 months and it was a must! !

olive flew as a lap infant at 23 months and she was fine. we paid more for the bulkhead seats though, and the kids were able to have a lot more space to walk around in our little area.
i'd do that over a separate seat because it'll save a little money, and having that extra space is really great!

Around 24 months for both of my kids. I remember it was constantly squirming from 12-18 months. It got better when we hit closer to the 24 month mark. My DD is 25 months and will sit through our entire dinner if we give her some fruit or snacks after she eats her main meal.

My LO will be 2 in 2 weeks (ahhhh) and she can not sit still at all, I think it's worse now than it was at 12 months.

Lo is 28 months and she's still pretty fidgety. We flew when she was like, 22 months and didn't pay for the extra seat. Luckily there ended up being an open one next to us because she definitely needed it. She was still all over the place, but it was a much better situation.

At 16 months my kid is awful about this! If we were planning a trip in the near future I would buy him his own seat on the plane and bring a cheap car seat. He's wayyyy more likely to snooze or just play happily in the car seat!

We bought DS his own seat at 19 months and I'm so glad we did. There's no way he would have sat on my lap for the 2 hours of the flight but he happily sat in his own seat like a champ.
