Mine was November 2012 before I got pregnant. My OB is following new recommendations where women are getting them less if you're healthy. I have my routine OB visit in October or November.

@cascademom: what's the new reco?
I haven't had one since having a baby so personally I want to have one to make sure everything is a-ok!

Two weeks ago. I'm 6mo PP and the PA was not gentle. I love my doc, but never seeing her PA for my annual again. Owie. One should not bleed after a pap. Never had before last week.

I had one at 6 weeks PP and another at 11months PP when I had my IUD taken out.

@prettylizy: oh crap! I can't remember if they did one at my post partum.

@locavore_mama: My doctor is following the recommendation here (Ontario) that they are only required every 18 months provided that the last 3 have all been clear, now I don't go until October

Every 3-5 years depending on age and past pap smears. It makes me a bit nervous, but my OB thinks it's okay.

@locavore_mama: They didn't do one at my 6 weeks pp visit. She did a cervical exam to check on the deflation of my cervix postpartum.

I had one at my 6 week post partum checkup. I think my OB said it would be good for 3 or 5 years. Darn. Now I can't remember.

In January. I wish I went in the summer so I would have less clothes to take off!

@cascademom: thanks! I'll have to ask when I go in for mine.

At my PP checkup after DS2, so about 18 months ago. She told me then the rec was every 2 years now.

@locavore_mama: No problem. I read about the recommendation before she put it into action. It took me by surprise, but I do trust my OB.

My last one was in July. I'm not a fan of the new recommendations and may request to continue to get yearly tests. My reasoning is, I have two friends who always had normal paps until this year when both had signs of cancerous cells. Under the new recommendations, multiple years could have passed before finding those cancerous cells, which is pretty scary.

I had one this spring-- it had been almost 3 years and while I was at at my PCP for other things, she and the nurse really pushed doing the PAP smear while I was there. So, I said if she could get that and everything else I came in for done within half an hour, I'd do it. And! It was the BEST PAP I've ever had. I swear, I will never change doctors ever ever ever again. She did such a fabulous job. Really fast, she asked me about X while she did it which got my mind off of things, she warmed the [plastic!] speculum first with hot water.... I was a little nervous post-baby (though it was about 18months PP at that point)-- but it was AWESOME.

@BlueWolverine: that is scary and wrong! My doctor said its not ever supposed to hurt and if there is pain to tell her immediately. She is very gentle. I wonder if the PA isn't experienced with paps?

Two days before I got pregnant I'd gone for my annual then. They suggest every two years (balancing the new recs of three years with the old one year) but will do it yearly if I prefer.

March of this year. I'm still getting them yearly regardless of the new recommendations because I have a long history of cancer in my family (including breast cancer in every female on my mom's side in her generation and older, so when I'm finished breast-feeding I'm supposed to get a base-line mammogram).

I had one in the fall of 2012 and am not due again until fall 2017. I have no history of abnormal smears and at my last one, they ran extra testing on the sample to check for...something. Whatever it was, I don't have it, so I fall into the new 5-year category.

Mine was at one of my first trimester appointments in April. I tried to get out of it since I just had one the year before and I hateeee them (like major anxiety), but they said it was a state requirement during pregnancy.
