I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant and going nuts with worry. I'm just curious to know a little bit of the statistics about everyone...idk if it will calm my nerves or not! So how old were you? How far along were you? What pregnancy was it for you? First, second, etc.

Mine was very early (prior to 5 weeks). I was 28 and had gotten pregnant on the first try. We took a month off then got pregnant on the first try again with our daughter who is now almost 9 months old.

I had two, both around 4-5 weeks.. Second & third pregnancies.

I'm not sure how to answer.... I was 12 week 1 day so "in" my 13th week.
Would that be 9-12 or 13+?
For the rest.. I am 28 & this was my 3rd pregnancy, would've been 3rd child.

I had a very early miscarriage at 4wks (a "chemical pregnancy") and another at around 6wks.
ETA: First and second, respectively, or just first for the latter, depending on whether or not you count the chemical...

my first was at 5 weeks, second at 5.5 weeks. i was 24 for both and they were my first and second pregnancies.

They said baby stopped growing at 9 weeks. I found out at around 12 weeks. Was my first pregnancy, when I was 32.

@runsyellowlites: Idk what that is, I guess you can be in both categories. And how did you find out? My best friend just had one and she found out at her 12 week apt. when they couldn't find a heartbeat, and they told her it looked like she lost it at 8 weeks. So now I'm freaking out thinking the same thing will happen to me.

I was a couple days over 8 weeks. I was 27 and it was my first pregnancy. I went on to have a healthy pregnancy, that LO is now 4 months old!

@CharityAnne: I found out when I actually miscarried. We don't do routine early u/s so don't know "for sure" but the sac sized matched being 11/12 weeks.
I really would try not to worry. I had 2 perfectly healthy pregnancies that resulted in 2 perfectly healthy babies before. Best thing you can do is just relax.

First pregnancy and I was 22. It was a missed miscarriage with no symptoms and development stopped at 9 weeks.

First pregnancy, was around 5 or 6 weeks. I was 30 at the time...I'm currently 25 weeks & the worry hasn't ended.

@runsyellowlites: I know I just need to chill out, but I'm so excited and I want to do stuff and buy things, but then I think it's too early to get excited I just need to quit thinking about till I'm a little further along. When did you go to the doctor? Like I said I'm 6 weeks, I think (considering my lmp), and I wasn't going to go to the doctor for 3-4 more weeks because I didn't really see the point. Should I go earlier?

@CharityAnne: just call your doc and let them know you got a positive home pregnancy test and they'll tell you when they want you to come in. My doc does the first appt at 8 weeks and does a dating ultrasound.

@CharityAnne: I think it's perfectly a-okay to be excited AND to buy things AND do whatever you want to celebrate being pregnant. We announced at 9 weeks.. did pictures and everything and while I felt kind of dumb for a minute, in reality I'm glad we did everything! Every baby, no matter how small or short of life deserves to be celebrated.
I see a CPM & she comes to my home so she saw me at 5ish weeks & again at 10. All providers are different so just give yours a call & they'll let you know what their policies are (if you want to be seen sooner then you can even find another provider that fits your needs better if you want).

My first pregnancy, I was 28, and 6 weeks along. But it was a missed miscarriage so I didn't find out until 12 weeks. Since then I've had a healthy baby and I'm 23 weeks along with my 2nd.

I had two miscarriages. The first was at 7 weeks followed by the second 6 months later at 5 weeks. I was 27 for both. My third pregnancy was the one that stuck but it came 15 months after the second miscarriage.
I agree with Runsyellowlites. Be excited and celebrate. I was quiet about my first 2 pregnancies and it didn't make it any easier when they failed. With my third pregnancy, I announced it to everyone before the pee had time to dry. I bought a diaper bag within the first 48 hours of knowing. Better to live in the moment and enjoy dreaming about this new little life than worry.

@MamaMoose: I might go ahead and call just to see what they say. I was going to wait because I didn't just want to go in so they could make me pee in a cup and tell me what I already know. I wanted to hold out until they would do an u/s and hopefully find a heartbeat.

@CharityAnne: congrats! We lost our first baby at 20 weeks. We are currently 31 wks with our second. This pregnancy is complete different than my first. I think something was wrong from the beginning.

At my 9.5 appt, I found out the baby stopped growing at 8 weeks. That was after seeing heartbeat at 7.5 weeks.
ETA: I had spotting from pretty much the beginning of the pregnancy, so it wasn't an unsymptomatic loss.

Around 8 and a half weeks. I had my first ultrasound just days before and there was no heartbeat. I was 26, first pregnancy.

First pregnancy, I was 31 and found out at 9 weeks + that baby had stopped growing (missed mc.) This was after seeing a normal heartbeat.
2'nd: I was 32 (took a year to get pg. again) and it was measuring small and slow heartbeat from the beginning. (First appt. was at 7 weeks +) Natural mc at about 8 weeks.

I have a 6 year old boy...last year I miscarried at 6 weeks, and then I got pregnant again and lost the next baby at 39 weeks during labor.
Now pregnant again, I'm 8 weeks along and so far so good. I'm 31.

I found out at 12 weeks but they think the baby stopped growing around 6/7 weeks. Second was a chemical pregnancy so around 4 weeks. Now I have a healthy 10 month old son!

I was 27 with my second pregnancy, between 5 and 6 weeks.

First pregnancy and I was 30, had just gotten off the pill the month before. I found out at 4/5 weeks that the pregnancy really hadn't developed but didn't miscarry until 7 weeks. I got pregnant 3 months later and have my one week daughter in my arms right now. It's hard not to worry! Best wishes to you!

I was 29 and in my 9th week of pregnancy with twins. I had a vanishing twin and gave birth to the surviving baby this past June. This was my first pregnancy.

Two pregnancies, two miscarriages. One at about 7.5/8 weeks and the other at 11 weeks. Both happened at 31/very close to 32 years old.
I know its easier said than done and I need to take my own advice, but worrying will get you nowhere
You just have to assume that all is well until it isn't, which hopefully will never be your reality. Enjoy the pregnancy, mama! -

I was 9 weeks when the ultrasound showed no heartbeat, baby never made it past 6 weeks, 3 days. I was 24 at the time.
