I want another dog (pug or shih-tzu) but DH is against it...maybe in 5 years!

Right now we only have 1 dog and I kinda feel like he is meant to be in a home that only has 1 dog. Maybe we will change our minds when he is older and we are done having LO (1st is on the way now) but at this time, he is all I need.

We have our one old dog and that's plenty for us, plus he prefers being the only dog. He's almost 11 but healthy so we very much hope he is with us long enough for c to remember him. After he passes, we will wait until the kids are old enough to want another dog and to have some responsibilities (nothing major just enough to teach them that they need to help if they want a pet). So... At least five more years I think. Hopefully my dog stats healthy longer than that anyway!

When we buy a house. No more animals for a while.

As much as I would DIE for another dog, I don't think we will ever get one! We currently have two chihuahuas. I look at puppy pictures on a daily basis still.

We just did! Waited until we bought a house and then we adopted a pup. Had her for a few weeks now.

We have one dog and would eventually like a second. We'd have to move to a bigger place first though... so maybe 5 years.

Right now we have a dog and a cat, we might get another dog when we move to a place with a bigger yard.

we'll probably get a dog once we buy a house. no dogs allowed in our building (though 2 units have obnoxious little yapping dogs that my cat could eat for breakfast)

We won't get another until one of our current dogs pass away. I refuse to have three dogs.

Once our two we have pass, we will get another one or two. Our son loves his puppies and the next one will be his (he will likely be 5 or 6). I want a corgi but who knows what the cards will hold when we get there.
He is already feeding them and taking the little one on walks (the big one would drag him down the street). But he has shown a strong animal preference (like his daddy)

I want a kitten, but dh doesnt want one. I love dogs, but they're too high needs for my life right now!

Probably pretty soon. One of our cats passed away just about a month ago and our other cat seems pretty lonely without her. I imagine we'll want to get him a new companion in the next month or two.

I don't know. Everyone is always telling me I have too many cats already. But they don't know that my dang fat heart has the capacity to love 20 cats. I'd like a lil puppy sometime. And chickens!

We have 2 dogs already and the youngest is only 10 months, so no more until one dies. DH isn't a big fan of cats, so that definitely isn't happening anytime soon, especially when we'll have little babes around (them picking up hair, putting it in their mouth really disgusts him).

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. So never. Because my babies are going to live forever and ever.

I keep pestering DH for a cat, but he's not having it! The goofball mutt in my avatar is pretty happy being an only dog. Whenever other dogs are around, he prefers to socialize with humans, because humans are the source of treats. And treats matter more than anything.

DH has been wanting a 2nd greyhound for years, but I can only do one dog at a time! Whenever we dogsit other greyhounds, I find it so difficult to walk 2 at a time! But we'll probably get another one eventually when she gets older. She's already 9, but maybe in 2 or 3 years.

My husband wants another dog, but I don't think our place is big enough. Maybe in a few years. Bea is pretty happy as an only dog with kitty sisters.

We have two cats, but would love a dog if we decide we have the time for one in a few years. We have talked about waiting until our LO is old enough to ask for a puppy...would make a great birthday gift.

We have two dogs and I'd LOVE a third, but no more until one passes away. DH has a 2 max rule on dogs.

We have 1 dog right now, but our moving every 3 years and frequent traveling make having a pet difficult. We will likely not have another pet until after my military career is done, which hopefully will 20+ more years.
