I see all the stores around me have their school stuff out already! I don't remember it being so early as a kid...but maybe. I picked up a few clothing items for LO for preschool so far since she has nothing in her size for fall. We will get her shoes and a backpack next month and probably some more clothes.

This week!
I have the school supply list (1st grade) and Staples has everything for cheap already - time to buy!
As for clothes I usually buy end of season so I need to go thru storage and see what we have and what we need!

DD starts kindergarten in six weeks (AH!) and the school actually had a thing where I could buy all her school supplies through them, and pick them all up on meet the teacher night. So that's what we did! I bet it didn't save us money, but it makes things easier for a very nervous parent.
I plan on taking her clothing shopping the weekend before school starts. I'll take her out to lunch and make a big deal of it, because my BABY IS STARTING KINDERGARTEN!

My LO isn't in school yet, but I ran across some really good deals (notebooks for $0.17 and 24-ct Crayolas for $0.50!) while grocery shopping yesterday, so I picked up some stuff to donate to the school supply drive at work.

This week .. We are ordering the backpack/lunch bag. Other than that, I don't think we need a lot since we will be in summer clothes for a long while in our climate.
@MamaBehr: I did the school supply order too! It's on their desk the first day of school, couldn't be any easier than that. Time is money!

I was thinking of having DS use the same stuff he used for K since its still practically brand new but the again I think its fun to get something new each year!

@Mamaof2: I actually wanted to use the same backpack this year because it's in great shape. But she really really wants the backpack and lunch bag to match and they don't .. So I think I'm gonna get a new one and make her use it again next year!

Well, our schools start in the middle of the summer (if you're on that track) so if she starts in July, I'll start shopping in June.
