What does your SO eat for dinner?
Mine almost always orders in. Usually Chinese. He never just scrounges!

Chips and salsa or pretzels and peanut butter. Copious amounts of them. And probably a glass of chocolate milk. Gross.

@Mrs. Pen: OMG my husband would NEVER miss a meal!

DH is the gourmet chef in our house and cooks nearly every night - if I'm not here, there's no change to what he cooks! He loves his cookbooks and is always trying new meals. Actually, that's what he'd do, he'd try some new recipes with ingredients I don't like!

@winniebee: Ummmm yeah those nights he usually complains that he feels gross. Gee I wonder why?

I've got a scrounger - he'll eat everything in the house. My leftovers, the last of the chips, chocolate party favors from last weekend, anything he can find.

I left him for basically a week over Christmas. He said he ate toast and chocolate the entire time. Go DH!

@winniebee: hahaha. DH often works 12 hour days and even if I pack him a lunch, he won't eat the entire time because he says he's too busy prepping for classes, grading papers and teaching that he doesn't have time for lunch even though he has to add in that extra unpaid half hour every day So he eats maybe two meals a day.

He orders in. Usually something exotic that I don't like. I'm a scrounger. Chips and salsa is a great meal! With a glass of wine or two . . . Perfect!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Mrs. Pen: I phrased that incorrectly - he would never miss DINNER. He often doesn't eat lunch at work though - same reason - too busy!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
He orders pizza, picks up takeout, or eats cereal.

@winniebee: DH and I are so different - *I* can't miss a meal! I always eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. always.

DH scrounges....usually something leftover from whatever he made for his work day. He usually scrounges when I am home too, telling me not to bother with dinner, but that leaves me with no food!

Either total crap-- like, once he ate Easter candy for dinner-- or more often, delivery or take out. I used to make a point of getting him easy frozen dinners or whatever but he would just order in anyway.
He lived alone as an adult for years, it's not like he doesn't know how to cook, he is just spoiled now.

Random crap, like Totinos pizza rolls, cereal, chocolate milk, Pop Tarts... Basically everything I won't eat.

@winniebee: mine doesn't eat. Then, I'll come home at like 9pm and he'll be like "what are we doin for dinner?" I'm like for real?! Um, no.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@TurtleDoves: mine pesters me about what he should eat too - while I'm out!

He'll pick up a salad from Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. He eats healthier when I'm not home.
pomegranate / 3105 posts
He buys pizza or swiss chalet, or goes to his mom to cook for him!

@IRunForFun: that's totally what I eat for dinner when my SO isn't around! lol. Or mine is wheat thins with hummos, or wheat thins and salsa, or pita and tzaziki sauce and olives. lol

He would do one of these two: a) order pizza b) make quesadillas
He hasn't been left to make dinner for himself in forever!
