I've been noticing that when transacting on Hellobee, a lot of people send money through Paypal as a "gift", to avoid the fees. The danger there is that if the person doesn't send the item then you have no ability to dispute the transaction. I guess a lot of people really trust their fellow transactees!
When you buy and sell items on the classifieds, how do you send payment?

If i've bought from the seller before I usually will send as a gift, if not I would ask the seller to invoice me.

I've done both! I only buy/sell usually to known HB users. Transactions only for new bees!

I would send it as a gift only if it was a very active poster who I knew pretty well. Otherwise, transaction.

As a seller I always send an invoice. I think I've only paid invoices as well. Worth the small percentage for their excellent protection, I think!!

The last thing I bought I sent the money as a gift. Most of the time, I ask to be invoiced.

If I'm selling an item, then I send an invoice. If I'm offering it for free and ask to pay for the shipping, then I would appreciate it to be gifted. If there was ever a problem, I would issue a refund. I have paid invoices and occasionally gifted.

I think always a transaction. If it was someone I had a lot of interaction with them I'd consider doing it as gift if they asked. Plus it's not like I'm spending tons of money on items here.

Both. For certain sellers that I have purchased from numerous times and am friendly with outside of HB I do as a gift.
