DH has been working out of town since early April, only home 8ish days a month. Almost every morning when I go get DD she lets out a huge sigh and says "just you again?" in the most disgusted way. Thanks kid.

She also constantly tells me she "just needs a minute" and walks away from me. She is definitely a little threenager.

My son (also 4) tells us we are “junk” if he’s mad.

Oh another one that’s a tiny bit embarrassing but hopefully some of you can relate -
Last summer my then 2.5yo was downstairs watching tv and eating breakfast. So I thought.
DH and I were upstairs arguing (one of those arguments that started with something stupid and spiraled - hey, I was like 6 weeks pregnant and miserable) and F bombs were being dropped.
Suddenly the 2.5yo barges into the room and puts his hands up like a peacemaker and yells “STOP F*CKING! GUYS! STOP F*CKING!”
We looked at each other and I had to hide under the bed covers so he wouldn’t see my cry-laughing. I was in hysterics.

My kid's friend is 3-years old and called me a "colonizer." I've heard him refer to white people as colonizers before, it's kind shocking. My own 3-year old has definitely dropped a lot of F bombs, and uses it in shockingly correct ways. Like at the bookstore the other day, he told his 1-year old brother to "stop throwing the f***ing book on the ground."

My 3 year old didn’t want to bring her backpack in the house and I said she had to. She said “Phooey” and then said it again. I just ignored her. Then she looked at me, stomped her foot and yelled “Don’t you realize I’m phooeying you!”

A few years ago after watching the movie Aladdin many, many times, my DD got mad at my husband while playing outside. She was grumbling, stomping her feet, and then yelled, "You're a street rat!"
It was definitely funny, unexpected, but also something we were NOT going to let continue since it was basically the worst insult she could think of at the time hurled at her dad for something super minor. We still laugh about it though!

My 5.5 yo DS told me recently that his shoes were dirty AF. I had to explain that to him. Yes, daddy says things he shouldn't and is surprised when the kids repeat them.

My 3 yo DS also told me that he hated me b/c I told him to pick up the towel he threw on the floor. No idea where that came from.

You guys, this thread is great. I’m legitimately shocked that my kid hasn’t dropped an f bomb yet considering how often I let one slip.

At the time my nearly 2 year old was having a feral moment to say the least. He had already got into trouble multiple times for getting into things he normally leaves alone. This time I heard a kitchen chair being pushed across the floor, walk out of the laundry room to find him on a chair at the stove trying to push buttons.

I told him to stop and get down because its HOT, he told me no. I asked him if he wanted to get his butt swatted. He climbed down from the chair, did the simmer down hand motion is the best way to put it, said "whoa whoa whoa, no." Then walked away.

Last weekend DS (4) and DS (22m) were fighting over a toy as usual (I think it was a fake waffle?). DS had it first and DD tried to take it away but failed. DS had it on the floor in front of him so she walked up to him and sat on it. I guess so neither of them could have it? I about died laughing and I had to turn around so they wouldn’t see. DH looks over at me and I’m shaking and he’s like WTF??

This thread is the best. LO’s idea of being unruly is just putting some bass in his “no, mommy!”

Last night after bath, I was putting on his lotion. He’s okay with it everywhere except his excema. I actually had to put Cortizone and then vanicream on the excema areas. He cried for “daddy” and then caught himself “my daddy” just to be super clear.

The other day, lo1 (4) wanted dessert and we said no because she’d already had a sweet earlier. It devolved into a full on tantrum with her curled into a ball on the floor, crying that she’d be alone forever and would never get married or have kids if she couldn’t have a piece of chocolate I have NO idea where that came from but dh and I were dying trying not to laugh. So extreme!
