We didn't. We had painted so much in the other house, we took a break for a few years. We finally painted the dining room and the nursery when the time came for baby to arrive.

Yep! We painted the living and dining rooms the night we closed! Went on to paint a couple more rooms within a month or two. I love color

Yes, we had the entire house repainted including the garage. The sun exposure in the house makes it a bit dark to begin with and while the former homeowners used neutral paint the house looked like a cave.

It's been a process over the last 3.5 years... we're slowly painting each room. It was a new build and everything was builder beige.

Yes. We ended up keeping some of the same paint colors that were already here, but the paint job was so awful it had to be touched up/redone. And some rooms I just couldn't take the colors. The bedroom was an ugly blue (I like blue, but not that one), and one of the kid's bedrooms was a garnet color. I'm an FSU fan and love my garnet.... but not in a nursery. And the porch was a bright orange.

In two months since we moved in, we've painted everything except the guest bath, laundry room, and guest room. These are all on the to do list too though!

Yes, we had wallpaper stripped and the entire house was painted. White everywhere and pink and lavender for the nurseries.

yes we always paint everything -- it always looks fresher! plus i have my favourite light grey that i have to get on the walls anywhere i live :). although in our next place i want to try a bright white.
we try to get most of the painting done before we move in!

We painted everything inside (walls, ceiling, trim), except the walls in the playroom, we will have to do a demo job down there and I am undecided on how to proceed.

Yep! After almost two years only one room hasn't been painted (the master bathroom). I love DIY and home decor though. There was no way I couldn't paint.
I still need to finish painting the trim in all the rooms.

We've painted all the rooms but three. I just lost motivation for two of them, but I finally decided on a color for my kitchen and I hope to get to that next year. The office/guest room is sage green, and the nursery is Carolina Blue (I'd like to change it, but it works for now).

When I moved into my first place, I painted everything. Especially the bedrooms. Who picks out a pukey yellow-green color that looks like bile?! Gross.
So far, in mine and DH's home, we've only painted our bedroom. The guest bedroom will hopefully be done before summer is over, and everything else will be done over the next while as we renovate each room.

Nope. We figure we didn't want to repaint it when we moved out and our lease was up.

We closed on our house Tuesday and the painter is there as we speak. It has been soooo worth it - amazing what a coat of paint can do! At 9 months pregnant the nursery had to be painted ASAP so I told him just to paint the whole house while he was at it, lol

@artbee: The house we just bought had Garnet and Gold kitchen cabinets... but we're in Gainesville! We painted
We actually painted every single room in our house except the bathroom prior to moving in, after closing. The whole house was a beige color and I just need something more fun than that - even if they are mostly neutrals.

@lindseykaye: Weird, I'm surprised that's allowed in Gainesville. My brother had a garnet and gold room and they just sold their house.... I'm sure it also got painted. Like I said, I love my FSU, but not for my paint colors.

@artbee: Exactly! I have no desire for any Orange and Blue combo on my walls.

No, the management company painted everything white before we moved in. Once we buy a place, I'm painting, but I'm not dealing with it here.

We painted every inch of the house we're in now. The closets, ceiling, cabinets, etc.
When we lived in an apartment we didn't paint because we knew we'd be there less than a year

The house we're buying smells like cat pee so EVERYTHING will get painted. Yippee!

We painted the rooms, but I really wish we would have painted everything, I'm regretting it now.

We are in an apartment, but it's in an old Victorian house with a lot of character (we're the entire bottom floor), and when we moved in, we were sooooo excited when the landlord said we could paint.
Yeah...we started with the living room...and ended with the living room. I was so enthusiastic when we started out, but man, painting is A LOT of work. At least the living room looks nice!

No, but I wish we did. After almost 4 years of living here, we have only painted the living room and LO's room. A year after painting the living room, and I want to repaint it since the color hasn't worked out. Boo. We are getting ready to paint the baby's room soon.

Yes, we painted everything. And put in new carpet, toilets, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. Sanitation was our sole motivation.

Our place was completely renovated when we moved in. All of the walls are an off-white color. I would have preferred bright white, but since it is new and fresh, there was no reason to paint. If we had moved into a place that was not newly renovated, I would have painted.

Yes, we started painting the day after the closing, a week before moving in. We had a painting party and our family and friends came to help us paint, we supplied them with food and drinks. Such a great housewarming present!
