I was on BC for over 8 years with absolutely no breaks in between.

I got my period almost exactly a month after stopping BC.

I'm on day 27 of my first cycle coming off the pill, and I don't think I've ovulated yet (my temps are up today, but I think it might be alcohol-induced inflation). I think I have one of those super-long first cycles off the pill to look forward to.If you really want to know if/when you are ovulating you might want to try charting, too. It's the only way to know for sure -- you can still get your period if you haven't. It will also give you some idea of when to expect your period even when your cycles are really irregular.

My first cycle post BC was 31 days.

My OB/GYN told me that if I didn't get a first period within 3 months of stopping the pill (regarldess of how long you've been on it) that I should come in to see her. She said that each body is different and while some will get a period immediately, some won't. She did emphasize that if I didn't get my period right away, it would in NO WAY indicate that I was any more or less fertile that anyone else. However, after three months she would want to see if there were underlying issues.

Do you have a good relationship with your doctor's office? I would call just to see what their thoughts are.

Mine came within a month of stopping the pill. I also got pregnant shortly after that, but miscarried. I think it is totally normal for it to take a few months for your body to get back on track. If not, you can take medicine to bring on your period.

I was also on the pill for 10 years. After my withdraw bleed, I got my period 27 days later. My cycle's pretty much been that with the exception of a day longer or a day shorter. We also didn't start trying until I was off of the pill 3 months.

I was on birth control for about 10 years, it took about 200 days for it to AF to show after stopping.
