what do you do?!
the k'tan or ergo are a sure bet for her to knock out. but I can't really do this often because it kills my shoulder (that I injured nursing...seriously.) maybe there's another carrier that wouldn't put pressure on my one shoulder?
my older daughter was totally happy to sit in rock n play, swing, bouncer, pack n play.. my newborn is NOT. arms or bust! it's not exactly easy to get things done holding her, OR listening to her scream and scream (she has a wicked temper already!).

@sorrycharlie: I have no advice, but wanted to say that I feel for you. Our LO was colicky and a screamer whether we were holding him or not.

@sorrycharlie: hmm not really, they're not wraps, it's just like a sling or kind of a pouch. I would do a horrible job explaining it, hopefully one of the baby wearing gurus can jump in!!

I'd suggest a ring sling too.
I wear C in one all the time. They're usually more woven fabric so they're sturdier for bigger babies too. I wore L in one until she was 28lbs and I was too pregnant to wear anymore.

I would also try a ring sling! Here's a picture of what it looks like. I would just put on the shoulder that isn't bothering you! It's not a good long term solution for an older/larger baby, but you have a newborn so it should be fine!

DD was like this. The Boba wrap saved me but it did wear on my neck and shoulders. I have no other advice but just empathy. Hang in there mama.

I also loved ring sling but didn't use it too long. As they get bigger I find the ergo more comfortable. I have a maya and a Sakura bloom. Not cheap so used is a great idea for something you may not use too long.
