We need a bigger couch for our house. The one from the condo just isn't big enough. We want a sectional. No leather. DH isn't a fan of microfiber, so I guess that leaves us with fabric.
Where did you get your couch/sofa?

Ours are IKEA, the Karlstad. We've had them 2 years, but we plan to replace them because we want a sectional.

We also have an Ikea Karlstad, which you can option out to be like a sectional.

Our basemement sofas are from Bobs Discount Furniture The one in the main sitting room is from Ethan Allen. I refuse to have another IKEA sofa. I just didn't have good experiences with them.

We got ours at a furniture store in our area called Mor. We almost didn't try looking there since they have a lot of cheesy stuff. Ours is a huge sectional with down filling so it is super comfy (we got it just a little bit before LO was born as a splurge)

We were very close to going with Room and Board this time but found one we liked equally for less at a local store. Previous one was from West Elm.

We have a Rowe sectional that I love. They carry the brand at a lot of big furniture stores- usually you have to custom order it but it's worth waiting for. Lots of color/fabric options- I can't remember the kind of fabric we have but it has Scotchguard on it.

We hate our couches. They're vinyl and they don't hold up well against the animals. I have slip covers on them, but they always fall off and I'm always having to readjust. DH got them at some discount furniture store.

Our house has two living rooms - in one we have West Elm couches because the dogs aren't allowed in there. In the other the dogs are allowed, and we have leather couches from Ashley Furniture. Love both of them, but the West Elm ones are definitely comfier and deeper.

we've had an Ikea Ektorp couch and armchairs for years and love it. We have the sofabed, but they have a chaise and sofa combo option to make a sectional

Lazy Boy sectional. It's lamb skin if think? It is easy to clean up. We also were able to customize each piece. So parts of it are recliners, sofa bed, cup holders etc.

The one downstairs is from Ikea with a textured blue/gray fabric, but I cover it with a throw. The one in the family room gets the most wear - it's leather from EM. We actually have another leather couch in the storage room from DH's bachelor days (that we keep clothes on and need to get rid of).

@grizz: @woodentulip: Which one from West Elm do you have? I like the Henry 3 piece. So now we just need to go to the store and try it out. DH needs a super soft couch.

I used to work at Pottery Barn years and years ago, and I got my (now our) couch there because of my employee discount. It's held up okay but it doesn't really fit our decor now and the cushions aren't as comfy as they once were. At some point I think we'll move it to the basement when we set up a family room down there. There are a bunch of sofas I like at Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams, but I don't know if that's where we'll end up purchasing when the time comes.

We have two, both from BoConcept. The older one DH had before we met. The newer one folds down into a bed.

Ours is from Rooms to Go. We have a couch and loveseat that both recline and is made out of microfiber. I love them and they have held up really well, you just spot clean and they look brand new.

I also have the Ikea Karlstad. We started out with the love seat but added the chaise to make it into a small sectional. We've had it for a few years now and still love it!

Custom sofa - would NOT go that route again. Looks great, comfy, and perfectly sized, but it started squeaking and having issues less than a year in. And I could never get any calls back or any customer service. I would rather get a sofa from a reliable company in the future.

We got ours from Ikea and we love it! Paid like $1,200 for it 5 years ago and it still looks and feels great.

Ours is from Costco and I can't recall the maufacturer right now. It's a huge sectional and hide-a-bed, and it's about oh 8 years old
The plannis for it to into the playroom or basement when we move and we'll get a new one. My parents have a Lazy Boy Reclining couch and rocking reclining loveseat, so comfy we might go thst route!

I've had a JCPenney sectional and now we have a JCPenney sofa and loveseat. Ours is a chennile type fabric and my sister has a sectional in a velvet fabric which is SO nice to snuggle up on. They've all help up really well and are really affordable. Once Owen & future kids get older, we might invest in some nicer stuff but in my opinion, the JCP stuff is perfect for the stage of life we are in now!

Macy's! Almost ordered a Rowe then we decided we didn't want to spend a bunch on couches while we have a young family.

@babynumber1: I just found the perfect couch at a great price at Rooms to Go, but then I just realized they only have stores in the South
