I'm not sure if this is the right board or not.
In a nutshell, we are leaving all the nursery furniture in the nursery which the new baby will be using. Meaning, we need to get our 2 year old a dresser for his new room.
Where did you get your toddler's dresser? I am not looking to spend a ton but I don't want to go too cheap either.
The closest IKEA is 3 hours away, which we will do, if it's worth it.

We got the PBK Catalina dresser during one of their sales (bought the dresser, bed, nightstand and got 25% off the whole she-bang).
I've also seen nice sets at Ashley Furniture or Living Spaces!

I got the kids' bedroom furniture sets at LON.
DD has a Jenny Lind dresser and dS has a bayside 7 drawer dresser. I purchased during the friends and family sale.

It had a changing pad on it when LO was a baby. It's heavy, so it seems very well made. The wood is beautiful in person and over all we're impressed with it, given it was a game of chance for us ordering it off Amazon. I intend on using it in one room or another for many years.

craigslist. There are tons of great options. We bought one that we put a lot of effort into sanding and staining, and another that we just put in the baby's room, they both worked out well.

Another vote for craigslist. We found a great, real wood dresser for the nursery that retailed for over $500 and we paid $175.

@ladybee: we bought ours online (nearest IKEA is 10hours away ) and it was well worth it....I couldn't find anything else that was close to the quality for the price. I also like how big it is, it will definitely grow with her.

We bought a set from Costco that included full size bed, dresser, and a side table. Quality stuff with free shipping! We get compliments on it all the time.
I did add a small white bookshelf from Ikea to complete the look of Lo's big girl room.

I bought a Land of Nod dresser on Craigslist for one (a Jenny Lind for a quarter of what it's still sold for). I bought an Ikea dresser for the second. It's fine, but not nearly as sturdy. I like the anti-tip feature of the LoN dresser too, fwiw.

It's from Target but the baby's is the Hemnes dresser from ikea. Agree with craigslist if you're into DIY. We just didn't have the time!

DS's is from a local furniture store, DD's is from ikea... We are getting DD a new bed and dresser from ikea and having what's hers now will be for the baby. We've been happy with our things from ikea!

We got ours from Target. It is a dresser / changing table combo though. I can't remember the brand. It was cheap but it's been fine and it is cute.
