@cmomma17: haha I just try and clean mine out every few weeks!

I usually try to pay them right away then away.

Twice a year or something we have to sit down and go through all the paper piles and either sort them or throw out, otherwise it is so easy to have a big mess that you no longer want to touch!

I also try to go paperless for as many bills as possible.

We try to go paperless for most, but we use a cute basket I don't mind seeing on one of the kitchen counters. We go through it every few weeks to toss things or file them away.

Ours are on autopay, so we check them, and then DH files them in a cabinet downstairs

In our home office.

Corner of the dinner table. We have a small house so a little clutter here and there adds up real quick and makes the house look dirty. Blah!

They go on my desk next to the computer until they are paid and then they are filed away.

Kitchen table. I throw out junk mail immediately, but there are some bills I prefer to pay manually so I always have a pile going. I hate it! I also need a shredder!

Open as soon as I come in and throw away most everything. Then I walk to my desk and throw the important stuff to file in my desk tray. Other important pending stuff I don't want to lose goes on a clipboard. DH stuff is trickier but he doesn't get much. I tried having a file for him but I was afraid he wouldn't look. I sort his mail ad important stuff I will leave on the dinner table because that is where he likes to lounge. But if he leaves it there overnight ....grrrr.
