I've been slow to build LO's collection of books because new books are pretty spendy. This weekend I happened upon a thrift Store with 69ยข books. They had a great selection and I picked up a bunch of classics in great shape. It was cheaper than buying the lot of books I had been eyeing on Craigslist.

Depends, some are from the regular bookstore, some from discount stores, some are hand me downs.

I received a lot at my shower, but I've picked up several in the checkout line at tj maxx. I picked them up to entertain her while we waited and she liked it, so I bought it. Very clever product placement.

library sales are great! used book shops, yard sales, discount bins at the grocery store, amazon has lots of fantastic used book sellers, TJ maxx, scholastic sales (book orders bring me great joy!), we have some discount around here that sell books for cheap (christmas tree shop, etc). i

Our library has a permanent used books section where everything is $1. I've found so many great books there. They constantly get new donations in so I hit it up frequently.

@Corduroy: my most recent children's book purchase was actually "Corduroy". It was one of my fav books growing up. Not sure if that is where your name is from!

We also love the $1 books at Target and Jo-Anne fabrics!
