We shop at three places regularly. One is a chain grocery store (vegetables, dry goods, pantry items), one is Costco (meat, fish, frozen items) and the other is a local specialty store (milk, bakery items and specialty meats).

We do our shopping at Fred Meyer (Kroger) ... they have a great organic/natural food selection, but also great prices because it's a huge chain.

I do love Trader Joes, but so rarely go. Whole Foods is my stop in a pinch, but so expensive!

I don't shop sales. We meal plan, and use coupons if we happen to have them for what we've planned.

Whole Foods for all food and Target for other stuff (paper towels, etc).

We don't usually shop sales except to buy whatever type of meat is on special. We always end up spending a ton on groceries but we have prioritized good food over other things in our budget so we are ok with it.

I shop at wegmans, they don't have huge sales but they sell stuff in bulk so I rotate when I buy what.

We do all of our grocery shopping at Dillon's (Kroger). They have Click List which is essentially curbside pick-up and that's pretty awesome. My husband does most of the grocery shopping though and he always goes in.

Costco for frozen items, paper products, cheese, pasta and chicken stock. Sprouts for most other items, unless I can't find them and have to go to Safeway.

Festival Foods (a regional chain). It just opened and I love it because it has a "tot spot" where kids can play while you shop and they give free jello samples, both of which LO absolutely loves. He gets excited about going to "Festibull" when we drive in its general vicinity.

We mostly shop at Hannaford (a regional chain). It's only a mile from us and has some of the best produce. I go to a local organic store for some of my dairy-free options for Xander.

for non-fresh foods and household we have a great Super Target (I get produce in a pinch too). I go to TJ's every once in a while for certain things, like my kids love their yogurt and dried fruit. I usually also go to Central Market about once a week, it's a Texas store that is kind of like Whole Foods but better/more affordable in my opinion! I pretty much just get produce and specialty items there, like I love their bulk food section - I can get 1 tbsp of a spice I rarely use or 1c of a specialty flour or something. I SAH so I don't mind going multiple times a week, although as my second gets older it's getting harder!

Aldi for most stuff. Fresh produce from the farm market next to DD's daycare. Meat on special as well as stuff Aldi doesn't have from the local overpriced grocery store.

We just recently moved to a small town so I do most of my shopping at Wal-Mart (about the only option.) Once a month I drive the 35 minutes to TJ's for a stock up and on this time I will shop at the local store I used to when we lived in the "city." I do a Sam's Club run about once every 4 months or so to get paper goods, some meat, etc.

Weekly with the Stroller: Trader Joe's for DS's milk; fruit, vegetables and any packaged food we need for the week
Weekly with the Stroller: Target for DS's yogurt pouches
Monthly without DS: WEGMAN'S! I buy all of our staples and poultry/meat for the month, and dairy/fruit/vegetables for that week.

@Mrs. Pickle: I have this same problem at the Kroger near me(an hour south of Houston), it's like they don't even carry meat lol.

I shop at heb, I love that place! Not to mention the fact that the employees there are always super nice and they always have a million check outs open. Even if it cost more than Walmart I shop at heb for those reasons alone.

Mostly the Superstore, but I'll go to Metro, which is closer, if I just need a few things.

@Jackiedavis87: I love HEB so much!! We recently got a new store that's almost 3x the size of our old one. It took me a while to get used to it but I love the bigger selection now.

I usually shop at Shoprite and Trader Joe's weekly. Every other week is a Costco trip.
Occasionally I'll shop at Whole Foods for something specific and Stew Leonard's (lower New England local chain).

We mostly shop at Wegman's and Harris Teeter. We also go to Costco every few weeks for bulk items.

Trader Joe's and Target. At least once a week for both.

We shop at Central Market and occasionally pick up a few specific items at Trader Joes. Sometimes we'll stop in at Costco or Sams club, but I think we're going to let those memberships lapse.

@Mrs. Pickle: @jackiedavis87: I can't contain my jealousy - I absolutely ADORE HEB, but there are none in Dallas! When the company bought 3 old Minyards/Sunfresh stores here last year, people started freaking out....Dallas was seriously losing its mind at the possibility of an HEB here, with tons of people calling corporate to "request" an HEB in one of the new locations. Sadly, none are big enough to become an HEB. The one right by my house will be converted to a small Central Market and they still haven't announced plans for the other 2 properties.
