It's easy so, I take them to GCF. If I had more time, I would take them to a woman's shelter.

to a local thrift store that benefits the homeless and aids patients.

I give LO’s clothing and unused diapers/baby stuff to a local shelter just for women and children.
I give my professional clothing to “Dress for Success” (not sure if it is local or not, but they give professional clothing to people who cannot afford professional clothing for job interviews and the like)
The rest I usually just give to Goodwill because there is one near my house and I like shopping there myself.

I donate to Purple Heart because they come pick it up at my house!

Goodwill. We have one about 2 miles away, but somehow I rarely manage to go! We've had 2 garbage bags worth of DH's clothes ready to donate, sitting on the floor in our bedroom for probably 6 months now. I really wish they were gone, but keep forgetting to take them!

Salvation Army or Purple Heart. We've definitely been doing a lot more donating lately to make more room for the baby!!

We have a drive thru goodwill near by that is so convenient! I also give lots of stuff to my step father's family who lives in Mexico.

Goodwill! If I had professional clothing I was donating I would seek out a program geared for that (and make sure they needed donations) but most of mine is casual.
Lots of shelters don't have the storage space for clothes anyhow, they usually have an agreement with a local thrift store for vouchers or the like.

A local thrift store. You just pull up and dump your stuff out. It's easier said than done, though, as I still have about 4 huge bags of stuff sitting in the garage that I haven't brought out yet...

We donate to a priest from Tijuana Mexico who knows a lot of needy families.

Goodwill because it's so easy. They have a donation center at the college down the street.

I like donating to native American reservations when I have it together enough to do so. You pack it up and ship it and they send back a form with est. value of contribution plus shipping costs and that is tax deductible.

I usually wait until there's a clothing drive near by. Although recently I've been giving them to our housekeeper.

I drop at goodwill instead of savers - but I have family members that work in very low-income school districts, and often will put aside clothes for students and their families.

Goodwill. I've also done Purple Heart, Lupus Society, National Children's Home, and Vietnam Vets I think. All but Goodwill call periodically and ask if you have donations that you can set out on your front step, they pick up. This month I will really try to go thru stuff as our parish (Catholic) has a Thanksgiving Clothing drive. They let folks who have a need come up and pick up stuff, than the leftovers are taken to I think Catholic Charities.
