This weekend I am planning to buy a ton of holiday decor for our house. We just moved into a new house in May, and I can't wait to decorate for the holidays!! I am planning to get garland for our staircase/banister, some decor for our mantel, and some outdoor stuff like lit candy canes to line our walkway. Where do you usually find the best deals on holiday decor like this?

TJ Maxx usually has cute holiday decor! Target has some really cute stuff out this season too! For outdoor decor Lowes had some good stuff but not sure about the deals!

this isn't really home decor but, for our tree I always go buy round glass ornaments from the dollar tree! they usually come in a pack of 10 or so and are a dollar each! I use them on our tree and even decorate some with them by filling up clear glass bowls and using them as a centerpiece. In our new house, I'm planning on stringing some sliver gold and white ones from different length ribbons and hanging them from our light fixture that hangs over our dining room table - saw that idea on pinterest!

TJMaxx is great! I love the holiday frames and towels at Kohls. Not sure how much you want to wait until after the holidays, but Sears and had amazing deals on decor just after new years. I think I managed to stock up on items to decorate my whole house and all new set of ornaments of under $75.

I would definitely check out dollar stores first--they have so much random stuff, and usually a big holiday section! After that, I'd go for Target or WalMart, especially for lighted outdoor stuff.
