It has been so cold in New York, I would love to go to a warm beachy destination, so a family friendly resort in the Caribbean sounds nice since it's only a couple hours flight away!
Where would you want to vacation with kids right now?

I know like 5 people with kids who are going to Turks and Caicos this month so I would vote to go there!

I would be good with any beach right now.
But I really want to go back to Aruba.

I'm not a beach person but really want to go to a resort and relax for a bit - maybe Aruba!

Disneyworld! It would be warm enough and I think that LO would love seeing Mickey and friends and the princesses!

Mexico is closest for us with a short flight, but I have a soft spot for Jamaica! Otherwise I woudl try something new with Turks, St. Barts, or Belize!

A family friendly resort in the Caribbean sounds amazing right about now! I was excited to see today's high will be 24 degrees. That's just sad.

Mexico is the shortest flight for us! Actually planning a small vacay in Riviera Maya for April and I cannot wait!!

My feelings wouldn't be hurt if DH took us on an all inclusive trip to somewhere in the Caribbean

- Disney Aulani is pretty close to the top of my list (Hawaii)
- Somewhere we can take the kids to see snow without getting stranded in the airport due to polar vortex (maybe Tahoe)
- Japan

@Alivoo01: We did that vacation in 2009 and it was awesome the deal was featured on yesterdays Travel zoo email. 5 nights in adare and 2 in dublin + airfare and rental car. for another $100 you get entrance into a bunch of attractions (waterford crystal, cliff of mohr, etc) Adare was an amazing place to stay we were in the villas on the golf course and they were huge easily slept 8 people and fully loaded with amenities

@Chillybear: My envy meter just shot up 1000x! Keeping you in mind for when we decide to visit Ireland in the future! Any particular time of year is better to travel there?

My dream vacation is a cruise in Northern Europe/Baltic area/Scandinavia... So expensive tho! I already told DH it'll be more like a retirement trip lol

I'll take a Disney escape right now. We just picked up my cousin and her family from the airport after a week there, and I am SUPER jealous! They even got stranded there an extra 3 days due to a cancelled connection- stranded at the happiest place on earth... jerks!
It doesn't help that one of our annual work conferences is coming up in Orlando in a couple weeks, I reeeeeely want to go but we're saving vacation for baby #2's arrival in 2 months. My husband said maybe next year though..... We may make an Anaheim get away this summer too...

@Alivoo01: We went over 4th of july.... I thought temps/weather were great for sight seeing and because they are so far north and it was near the summer solstice it didnt get dark until like 10pm which was great for navigating winding roads in the evening

@JessKas: We just came back from Kauai! We found the best spot for families - so awesome - we were so sad to leave.
I want to take the kids to Europe. Not sure if they're still too young though.

@BoogieBea: Family oriented place in Hawaii?? Where?? Do share please!!

@Alivoo01: Poipu Beach in southern Kauai. There are two lagoons that are shallow and calm enough for the kids to play and run around. We also got them on the boogie board and they loved it. It's also a great spot to snorkel so I got to do a bit of that. Right next to the lagoon is a surfing spot so my husband got to do some surfing too. Oh and everyday, 1 or 2 turtles would come up onto the beach to rest for several hours. That was so very cool. We stayed at a condo complex that was walking distance to this beach. Much more affordable to rent a condo than a hotel.

I'm in Florida, so I want to see snow!!! I'd take a week in a cabin in the mountains! Preferably on the east coast because I'm too chicken to fly with a toddler.

DS gets to go to Disney World with my parents at the end of Feb, and I'm getting jealous that I'll be too pregnant to go...it's cold here!
But, if it was all 3 of us, I'd pick Charleston or Williamsburg this time of year.

I'm so, so jealous!! We went to Mexico a couple of years ago and it was an 11 hour flight!!! The Caribbean is much the same. I would love to be there right now!!

Pick me! I would love to go somewhere laid back and warm where I can swim or sit in a hot tub. Winter here is so so hard!

Scotland! I know the weather there is probably awful right now, but I just love it more than anything. Actually, I sent DH a link to some jobs in his field in Edinburgh yesterday. Not that he's really all that interested, but maybe if he saw something really good I could talk him into it.

Honestly, just a log cabin with a hot tub in a forest somewhere in the UK would be lovely!
