As is a common theme, I think, I'm totally confused about what to do with feeding now that LO is 12 months old. I'm still breastfeeding, but would like to move to morning+before bed only, and use whole milk for the rest of his milk (with maybe one other breastmilk bottle a day to use up the freezer stash).

So when are they supposed to have whole milk? Is it something they drink with their meals instead of water? (And if so, when do they get to have water?) Or do they keep having separate milk feedings, only now it's whole milk instead of breastmilk?

I was excited to try it out today, and gave LO some whole milk in his straw cup with his lunch and dinner. He had a few sips at lunch at most, and several sips at dinner, but definitely not the several ounces he'll need to get to 17ish oz, which is what my ped recommended.
