I'm planning a little Bachelorette getaway trip for a friend who is getting married--very intimate, just 3-4 girls. I'm coming from NYC airports, they are going from DFW. So the "deals" that are available from one airport tend to not be available from the other.
New Orleans and Miami seem to be the only two cities that are pretty cheap for both of us to fly to--so which would you pick> New Orleans or Miami? and why?
We've all been to each, but never together!

NOLA fo sho! No real reason...I just love New Orleans. Food is awesome and it's perfect for a bachelorette.

@Anagram: It's going to be hella hot in both. Does going to the beach interest you? If so, then I'd choose Miami. Also, have you considered Nashville? It's kind of in the middle. I know someone that recently had her bachelorette there. It was just 4 girls and they took a limo around to different wineries. It looked fun (and it'll probably be a little cooler there)! But obviously much more low key so if you're looking to go out and get wasted then probably not the best option

@lawbee11: Nashville could be good, but we've both been there a lot more. I'm kiiiinda leaning towards Miami now that I think about NOLA in the heat.
Food is so good in both cities.

I'd vote NOLA because I love it and I think it would be cheaper once you go there. I've never been to Miami though. My West Coast perception may be wrong.

Miami will also be hot too and i think its their rainy season, I would pick NOLA because of the good food

NOLA! My husband's been there a million times, twice for a bachelor party now. I've only heard amazing things about it. I so want to go. We planned for our 4th anniversary and it didn't happen. Go to NOLA for sure.

I'd do Miami. Spend all day lazing by the pool/on the beach, then out at night at clubs. Sounds like a blast :D.

I'd go for New Orleans, but that's partially because I would hate to be in a bathing suit right now around all of the hot bodies in Miami. They would both be super fun though!

Hmm...tough call. NOLA in August could be brutal (I imagine more humid than Miami). But the Miami beach bodies vs my decidedly-non-beach body would make me unbelievably self-conscious. Plus, that Miami nightlife seems a little too much for me - I prefer bars to nightclubs. I think of the 2, I'd prefer NOLA.

@Anagram: What's your scene? If you want to party and get drunk, Miami. If you want to be more relaxed and enjoy each other's company, NOLA (Just get a hotel with a great pool).
