My mom asked me to take her jean shopping today and I am drawing a blank of where to take her. I am guessing she will want to spend under $50. I usually get my jeans from Express but I think that might be "too young" for her.

@simplyfelicity: my mom gets her jeans at Ann Taylor or Banana Republic. They have more mature/conservative styles while still being fashionable and not "old lady jeans"

My mom normally goes with Banana Republic or Talbots. But she goes to the outlets, which helps keep the price down.

My mom buys Not Your Daughter jeans from Nordstrom, but they're a little expensive- I thought of maybe Nordstrom Rack?

Agree with above for Banana Republic or Ann Taylor. They are a bit more structured, higher waistlines and more conservative cuts.

My mom is 61 and has a "old lady" pouch. Ann Taylor jeans do not fit her unless she oversizes then the rest fit weird on her! My mom likes that C&B jeans are cut wider in the hip/waist area but still fit snug-ish in other areas in their skinny fit.

Nordstrom and Macy's carry this brand called "NYDJ" for Not Your Daughter's Jeans. They are stylish yet practical. They even go on sale.
