For LO we didnt get a bassinet she slept in her crib right from the start but this time around I want to have a bassinet I think it will make the transition from hospital to home much smoother. I didnt realize there were so many types of bassinets, which did you go with and would you recommend it?

Not a true bassinet, but we got the Graco Travel Lite Crib. I liked how it had three levels of height (two in bassinet, one without). It was a good price, too.

We used the bassinet from our Uppababy Vista for night sleep for about 6 weeks before transferring to a crib.

Ours was a hand me down, so I don't remember. All that matters is that it holds the baby, right? We could have used a box like in Finland!

We had a Moses basket but H hated it, so I sold it. This time around, I will probably just use the Pack-n-Play with the bassinet attachment.

First time around we went straight to the rock and play then crib. This time I planned to use the bassinet from our Uppababy vista but she hated it- rock and play again. Now she sleeps in the bassinet attachment of the graco travel lite crib, which is great because it's smaller than a regular pack and play and we are really really tight on space (like she sleeps in the master bathroom right now). It was a hand me down. If I was buying new and had more space I would do the regular pack and play since she will outgrow the travel lit crib before a year.

With my first son we used the Uppababy bassinet. With my second I got the Halo Bassinest. At first he wouldn't sleep in it, we used the newborn napper from the playpen inside it to make him feel more snuggly. Right now we've graduated to having him in the bassinet with a rolled up towel on either side of him - trying to wean him off the cozy feeling. I like the Bassinest but I don't know if it's really worth the money. I like having it swing in and out and at the same height of the bed.

I really like my arms reach cosleeper. I can easily check on him and put a hand on him to help him back to sleep, and grab him for MOTN feeding sessions. Plus the mesh sides make it a safe option. I use the rnp for daytime naps and recently at night to help his stuffy nose.

We had this one from Serena and Lily. It was my splurge item, I love it so much! It was a fantastic basinet (easy to carry baby too with the handles) and now it doubles as toy storage.

We had the bassinest. I really liked the mesh sides to see him (and when he liked to be next to the sides, for breathing) and the fact that it was bed height. We never nursed in bed, so the cosleeper wasn't ideal, but I liked having him so near for the first few months. We transitioned out at 3.5mo

For #1 we used the Arm's Reach Cosleeper.
For #2 we are using a Pack n Play. -
We just used the bassinet attachment for the pack n play in our room for LO1 until she moved into her crib and will do the same for LO2. We also never BF while laying in bed, so it was nice to have her close, but we didn't need a side car type set up.

DD had a hard time laying down flat so we used the bassinet on the pack n play since it was at a slight incline. She loved the rock n play and slept so well in that! Was a pretty easy transition to the crib after that.

We got the Chicco portable bassinet. We're very happy with it. Baby has been sleeping in it since he was 4 weeks old! I think it will help with the crib transition.

We got a pack n play with the removable napper/changer. I didn't get an actual bassinet because my husband was adamant that baby would sleep in her crib. Well, day 1, baby slept in the napper by our bed. I know they aren't designed for nighttime sleep, but I felt it was safe and she slept like a dream in it for nearly 4 months, until we switched her to her crib.

We have a Halo Bassinest. I wouldn't have bought it had I not found a good price on it. We we're going to purchase the Arms reach cosleeper, but i found the swivel sleeper for the same price. I love it. We don't have a lot of extra room, and I like that it moves around easily to accommodate our space. It's easy to grab him in the middle of the night when he starts to get fussy, and I like that he is right next to me.

Arms reach co sleeper. My friend has a lotus bassinet and its pretty cool- I like that is rocks
