I'm debating between two clip-on high chairs. The Inglesina and the Chicco Caddy. Which would you pick?

We used the Inglesina and loved it - actually I loved it so much I have it stored away for my grandkids ....one day...

@Alivoo01: just be sure to check the clip depth with your table lip. My table lip was too thick and none of the clip ones worked.

@Alivoo01: What are you clipping it onto, and is this for home, travel, or both?
I have a hand me down Chicco caddy and it's fine, but I think the Inglesina is better- hooks on quicker, folds down easier, so if I was getting one for travel I'd probably get that. We have used the Caddy on our counter and it won't sit flush with the counter top because it isn't quite deep enough, so if you were feeding a baby finger food he could drop it between the counter edge and the seat. But I'm sure it would fit better on some tables than the Inglesina.
FWIW we use the Chicco 360 chair (http://www.amazon.com/Chicco-Hook-High-Chair-Midori/dp/B00851W5JA) as our main high chair and hook it to our counter. I love that it has a tray that securely attaches (so it doesn't matter that there is a small gap between chair and counter). But it's a pain to clean and not as easy to fold up so I use the Caddy as our travel chair if we need it.

We have the Inglesina one and it works great, we also use it as our travel highchair.

@locavore_mama: Good thought. The clip ones won't work on our table at home. We use it for traveling only, works on the IL's breakfast bar but not their table either. Praying it works on the table on our vacation rental.

@locavore_mama: I did notice the different thickness each one can accommodate, didn't think about if it'd fit on the tables where we might be using it!
@Foodnerd81: It'd be for traveling and when we're out and about, say the lake so I'd love to clip it on the picnic table.
The Chicco 360 looks great! I think I'll bookmark that high chair for #2 since I'm not a fan of our current high chair. Thanks for sharing, and for your comparison of the two clip ons!

I used the chicco and hated it. If you want it - you can have ours! haha. I wrote a review about it on the blog, and wish I had splurged for the Phil & Teds... though found out it wouldn't fit our table due to the table apron issue. So in that respect, the chicco worked well. but it is a HUGE chair. For the first year, we had to stuff blankets in there to fill up all the space. And because of the excess space, he sat so far from the table that every meal was way messier than it should have been. By 18 months he could unclip the buckles and completely climb out of the seat. It was so scary the first time I saw him standing in the seat!! So we retired it before he was two and now he sits at the table on a regular chair.
I don't know about the inglesina, but it looks smaller in the picture!

@Charm54: What did you love about your Phil and Ted's?
@Mrs. Pen: OMG!! Scary!! DS is a climber also. If there's space for him to move around, he'll definitely be up and out. He does that in a regular restuarant high chair and in the Target shopping cart. Even when buckled in and straps tightened, he manages to turn around and stand up. Cue panic when I turned around and he was proudly standing up like "look at me mommy!!!!" *faint* He doesn't do it in the Wal-mart or Kroger shopping carts though.
@ValentineMommy: I'll look into the Joovy. What are you faves about it?

@Alivoo01: p. S. check NBD frequently! Clip ons are on there a lot.

We used the Chico for travel and restaurants and it was fine.
I do wish it wasn't so deep, it gave her way too much room to squirm. Also, I wish it had a lock for when it was folded up. If you carried it the wrong way, it would snap open which was a pain.

We have a Phil and Ted's Lobster and it's great! Clean up can be a pain but I think all of these options would be like that since they have fabric and not just plastic.

@Alivoo01: my MIl has inglesia and we have chicco. I like the quality of the inglesia. Note that the seat itself is smaller (good for smaller kids) but it doesn't clip on to tables with a lip. For that reason, if you want to use the clip on out and about, I would go with a chicco.

@Alivoo01: I haven't tried any of the others to compare it to but my fav things about the Phil and Teds are:
-comes with a plastic tray that is super convenient
-folds up small and flat and is very lightweight
-all pieces fit into an included carrying case
-very sturdy
-fabric is fairly easy to wipe down clean
We take it everywhere...grandmas, the cottage, restaurants, friends houses...love it! The case that everything fits in is similar in size to a small purse...it's so light to carry around that it's not a pain.

@Alivoo01: Everything! It folds up easily and fits into the carrying case. It has a great wipeable faux leather seat. It's super light weight. Easy to fold/unfold.
