My sweet husband ordered me a new diaper bag for my birthday. The danzo San Ysidro hobo (same style Mrs. Wagon raved about). He bought it in the Ruby Red color I wanted but we just got an email that the color is on back order and they don't know when it will be back in stock...he said it could be a long time. I would really like to have a new diaper bag for our plane trip in two weeks (currently I use my oversized purse or my skip hop bag that has a broken zipper). Should I pick a different color or wait months for my first choice color? Here are some photos from their website. I think I'm leaning towards just going with a different color bag but let me know what you think please! I can't decide!!

You probably won't be 100% happy until you get the color that you want, so I'd wait. Personally though, I love the green!

Oh this is my DREAM diaper bag! I wanted the pumpkin one but guess they don't make it anymore. I'd get the green one just because I wouldn't be able to wait!

Have you considered the regular hobo in red? Do they still have it? I have the regular hobo in black and I absolutely love it. I really LOVE red bags but once I realized how big the Danzos are, I knew I had to have black... I didn't want a BIG red bag.
Bottom line though... get what you want!! if you are afraid you will regret not getting the red, then wait for the red. That being said, if you want it for your trip, you might want to consider a different color or bag. Also, it's a very small company, so it could be a REALLY long wait for the red. You might not even want a big diaper bag anymore at that point! My diaper bag needs change all the time!

@MsLipGloss: we are emailing with the owner, Gary, and the San ysidro is coming out in a blue and raspberry color...he is maybe going to send photos...they are in their warehouse so I could get one of those. I am still undecided but need to decide today so I can get it in time for our trip. I think I'm just going to go for a different color rather than holding out for red.
@mrs. wagon: I'm missed the red in the gilt sale you let us know about.. I loved your review and then decided I needed one of these bags for sure! I love that it's so big but organized...and we'll made...I'm going to have baby #2 in the next year or two so I'm hoping it will last a long time!

@sandy: omg you will love it. I use mine as my work bag! I'm looking at it right now!! It really is huge but so ridiculously organized. I love being able to tuck away things that I don't use every day, but need just in case, and that the pockets are clear so I can clearly see what's in there. i.e. extra clothes for the kids, med supplies (band aids, advil, etc), emergency snacks, pads and nursing pads for mommy!!

I couldn't decide b/w the plum and green and the poll wasn't much help b/c it's pretty much tied...the deciding factor for me ended up being the strap measurements. I'm super short (not even 5'1") so I need the cross body strap to be as short as possible. The classic hobo strap drop is 6" and 14" for the cross body strap drop. The San Ysidro strap drop is 5" and 12" for the cross body strap drop. I can't wait to get it in my hands!
