DD is 18 months and I use to just throw her poopy diapers in a plastic bag, tie it up, and toss it in a simple human garbage can. We lived in a condo building and the trash chute was just down the hall so we tossed out our garbage pretty frequently. Now we're in a new house and the garbage can is in our garage which gets picked up once a week. Holy cow does it smell. I'm thinking of getting a diaper pail so the garbage can in our garage doesn't stink up so quickly. Which do you recommend?

I have the munchkin. It's OK but I wouldn't get it again. It makes a god awful noise when I close the lid.

We have the ubbi and I LOVE that I can use regular trash bags with it. We had the dekkor and it was fine, but it was really annoying having to buy their specific bags.

I vote for the genie. We had the Ubbi because I wanted to be able tuse regular trash bags which is a huge plus, but the rubber seal on the lid fell of and never went back on right. Granted this was after maybe 8 months of use, but still - it's expensive and I wanted to only buy one. So I had to ditch it as the stank escaped and I got a genie and it's great. The bags are a pita but you can get generics in target so it's not too expensive.

We have the dekor and I love it. We had the munchkin, but the lid stop working correctly and it was such a pain to use.

We have a Diaper Genie and it's fine. I can't say I love it but I doubt I would love any diaper pail. It does contain the stink pretty well since it can smell pretty nasty when I open it!

Our Arm and Hammer Munchkin broke so I got a Diaper Genie Elite. Not sure how it differs from the regular model but I love it!

Another vote for dekor with regular trash bags. I like that it has a foot pedal, I felt like I frequently needed two hands for the ubbi- one for the dirty diaper and one to open so I couldn't keep a hand on the baby.

We've used the Munchkin for a long time and it does really well with odor control. Agree that it is loud when you close it, but no biggie.
