With my first, I would have said work because my job wasn't that difficult at the time. Now, I vote maternity leave because my current job is super stressful and I don't miss it at all.

Work! Maternity leave was tough with healing and caring for a newborn. I miss my LO during the day, but enjoy what I do at work.

Maternity leave for me! My LO was a pretty easy newborn, and I loved having so much time during the day to do things while she was napping and vegging out and watching TV while she was nursing. Working FT and trying to keep up with the house and everything else is so much harder! But when I have a day off being home with her now that she's a little older and not sleeping as much is hard too!

Work is much easier than maternity leave for me. LO was so colicky and we were exhausted all the time. Especially once my DH went back to work and I was doing the lion's share of taking care of him. Once he finally started getting easier, it was time for me to go back :o(

Work. Caring for LO is much more exhausting. I love caring for him, but work was far easier.

Maternity leave hands down! My mom was around to help me during my leave so it was way easier than work!

Well, I voted maternity leave because I miss it. It is easy to be at work, though....

Maternity leave was easier. I loved maternity leave.
Work is stressful and schlepping around a baby to daycare and having no down time....super stressful. The paycheck is nice, though.

I was so relieved to go back to work at 10 weeks post-partum just so I could have some independence- pee when I needed to, eat when I wanted to, check email whenever, have conversations with other people... also, LO wasn't fun yet so I wasn't enjoying maternity leave. I think when LO was six or eight months old and really fun and easy I would have definitely preferred leave over work

Maternity leave was way easier. Work is not hard, but harder because it involves dressing up in suits and putting on makeup every day. I miss my yoga pants!!
