I only have Freetime in my stash and love them. I need to purchase some more but have been reading good things about 4.0 and Elemental also! Which is your favourite and why?

4.0s and Freetimes. I'm not a huge fan of Elementals - they take soooooo long to dry!

I only have free times (of bg) and I like them. I actually like my alva pocket diapers more-- surprisingly considering they were a lot cheaper.

I have used the elementals as a nanny, and they just take way too long to dry. As a mom I got the free-times and I love them.

@Glitter: They come with 2 inserts but because she's little I only use one (never had a leak) and it is a lot less bulky than the BG Freetimes so I feel like it fits her a lot better right now. Also the inner material seems to wick away the moisture better than whatever the inserts are made of (the inserts are the same material as the BG Freetimes flap-y things) so she rarely cries when wet in them. They do not seem to be made as well as the BGs... but they ARE cheaper and they work better for us for now so I like them.

We only CD sporadically TBH, but I much prefer the Freetimes. So easy, and they dry overnight in our house.

I love the 4.0s and they make up most of our stash. I have a couple free times but find the 4.0s easier at this age (LO is 14
mos) in terms of cleaning.

@bisous: I don't understand. Can you please explain why/how 4.0s are easier to clean?

I love the 4.0's. They clean and dry so much faster because the inserts are separate from the pocket. I also like how I can double stuff them overnight.

I never used Elementals but I prefer 4.0 over Freetimes. Especially when they are older or have nasty poop.

@blackbird: @Ash: do you have a son or daughter? and how old? DS is 3 months and takes foreverrrr to soak his freetimes. I just change them when I feel he's had them on long enough. Should I expect his wetting to get much heavier as he gets older?

@Glitter: I have a little guy who's 8 months old. They're fine during the day but not enough at night. And yes, it will probably get heavier the more bm/formula he starts taking.

@Glitter: it is so much easier if the poop is nasty...like when starting to feed something other than breastmilk or if there's diarrhea or something. Those flaps on the freetimes can make cleaning a messy and nasty task! But, I do prefer the Freetimes when ebf. Right now we have ours divided so that W uses only the 4.0s and G uses the Freetimes.

@Glitter: Sure! It's really because of poopy diapers. When LO still had breastmilk poop, Freetimes were fine (although still took longer to dry). Now that I am turning diapers upside down over the toilet when she goes #2, I don't want to deal with the flaps on the Freetimes!! Too much to worry about in terms of where the mess goes--haha and with 4.0s, I feel like there is less chance that my hands will actually be coming in contact with the mess.
Eta: JUST saw @skipra's post! Same idea.

I have all three and prefer the elementals and 4.0s. I have a 2 yr old son who is a serious heavy wetter so I end up having to add inserts to all of his diapers. The freetimes are easy to use...until the poop gets all over them...yuck.
