It’s pricey (we got it as a gift) but the 4moms one is amazing. Way bigger than a graco. At 3yo, 3ft3in tall and 36lbs my son could still comfortably sleep in it (we didn’t switch to a bed till after 3yo, so we traveled this summer and he slept in the 4moms playard for an entire month).
It folds and opens ridiculously easily. But looks very nice to leave it open all the time if that’s what you prefer.

10 stars for the guava family lotus crib. It zips from the side for easy access and sits on the floor so weight isn’t an issue. We’ve had it for almost 5 years and it works like the day we got it.

@birdofafeather: We have this too but I guess I don’t think of it as a pnp since we’ve only ever used it for sleep. Do you also use it for play in your home?
We do really love ours too and when we’ve had to travel via airline or other mass transit it’s been great. So if that’s the primary use I would recommend the Lotus over the 4moms. Although my 3yo def wouldn’t fit in the Lotus anymore.

Definitely worth the investment of the Lotus. I don’t have one but have checked out my SIL’s pretty thoroughly and REALLY wish I did—the typically Graco ones are so hard to deal wth by comparison. DD2 did sleep in the newborn sleeper attachment of her pack n play for a few weeks (we didn’t have a bassinet) but I feel like that’s basically like sleeping in a bouncy chair anyway so not worth it.

We had a typical Graco and didn’t really use it. My mom bought the Nuna Sena and it’s so much better!!! It is bigger and nicer and I swear he sleeps better in it. I will definitely invest in a nicer one (4 moms or Nuna) if we have another.

@SweetiePie: I have used it in a pinch for play: in my office, at the beach, etc. I think they do the same things, right? I never really kept my kids super contained other than as babies in baby holders!

@birdofafeather: Oh yeah, I just meant it never occurred to me to use it as a baby holder. I only ever used mine specifically for travel sleep. I’m not sure why using it as an actual pnp at home didn’t occur to me!

I LOVE our 4moms. It's really big so still now at 2.5 we can use it if we need to when visiting grandparents, etc. It's heavy but sooo easy to set up and take down.

I think it depends on what you're using it for...
We have a regular Graco Pack N gifted to us during my first pregnancy. For our first, we had it set up downstairs and would place her in there and use it as an alternative crib. It came with an infant insert which we used for our 2nd in our master bedroom from birth to about 6 months. We will use it for our 3rd the same way, especially bc 2nd is still in the crib.
However, for travel it is bulky and heavy. It's hard to set up and take down. We took it with us for an international travel with our first and regretted it.
We made the same international trip with our 2nd and went ahead and bought the LOTUS travel crib. Game changer! It's light, so easy to set up, and much easier to travel with. We still use it for my 2nd when we travel.

We really love our baby bjorn but we also travel a lot (flying and driving). It’s expensive but it is so lightweight and portable. I can also stuff the included bag full of extra baby stuff when flying.

I have the Nuna pack and play and really like that the mattress is up off the ground. I know that in order to have the mattress NOT be on the ground, the whole thing has to be a bit heavier. But I think that is a fair compromise. I've travelled twice with the Nuna and its easy enough fold up and also to set back up.

We have the lotus travel crib which I bought specifically because you can carry it onto an airplane. If you are going to be doing air travel And need a crib or pack and play that alone makes the Lotus worth the price.

Agree with the Lotus, but we never really had need for a PnP as a baby corral.

We always really liked our lotus, because we travel a fair amount and it's small (you can carry on to a plane) and lightweight. The new versions come with the bassinet feature too, which is great for the under 6 months age.

@matador84: The 4moms breeze is $100 off right now on Amazon if you’re thinking about that one!

We have the regular Graco Pack 'n' Play and used the bassinet when we first brought DS home but switched to the Rock 'n' Play pretty quickly. We now use our Pack 'n' Play for camping.
I really like the Lotus though and wish we had gotten one of those instead.
