Trying to decide which to download. Which would you recommend first? My lo is 12 weeks if that makes a difference.

I'd recommend both. But not necessarily the books. I think the DVD of happiest baby on the block gives you everything you need and I loved the wonder weeks app!

Loved Happiest Baby. Quick read and was the cornerstone of how we approached the first 3 months. I don't know that it would be very useful at 12 weeks though. I did t read Wonder Weeks but I hate App. The medical science seems pretty BS to me and it doesn't teach anything at all.
What exactly are you looking to learn?

Happiest Baby was extremely long and repetitive. Not worth reading the whole book in my opinion. Here is a synopsis of the main points:

I wasn't a fan of the wonder weeks. There was always a wonder week approaching and I just felt like I was living in this state of anticipation. It did give some good information about developmental milestones that could explain the crankiness/fussiness but there's not much you can do about it.

@Anya: thank you. I guess I'm already doing all of that minus the swaddle. Dd didn't like the swaddle so I dropped that pretty quick.

@JennyLayneAZ: another vote for not liking the wonder weeks. For sleep, I found Weissbluth's book very poorly written and organized but very informative overall. I still use it from time to time, and my kid is 2. It's the one sleep book I haven't given away. I also liked the sleep easy solution (or something like that).

I liked the Wonder Weeks although it didn't follow, just the idea that everything is a phase is reassuring. I also like the Happiest Baby. I vote for both. I love reading!

Brain Rules for Babies. Wonder weeks is more of a reference book for me, not great as an Audio Book.

@JennyLayneAZ: no advice on the books but I just wanted to mention that DS loved the swaddle at first, then hated it and then loved it again. So maybe give it another try if you're having trouble

Is say neither. Happiest baby on the block is best for newborns, and Wonder Weeks is India useless to me because it doesn't tell you how to deal with anything. You am an also download their free app.
