I was surprised that so many people called their mother-in-law on Mother's Day!
If you called your MIL today, who made the call: you, your SO or both of you?

Dh, and I was on speaker. Then we went over for dinner.

Neither. We both texted. She called me and I chatted with her and my SIL

Neither. DH has been on a plane all day and I've only called her once in four years.

DH and I each call our own Mom's.

He called her so we could both talk but she didn't answer.

DH called her earlier today and then we both went over for dinner.

He called his mom, I called mine. We didn't even speak to one another's moms.

I called my Mom and have been reminding DH about Mother's Day (they celebrate late - the last Sunday of May).

I almost did, but I realized his MIL would be happier if he called, so he did--and somehow I didn't even get to talk to her!

He called his mom, and she declared we won't give a "s*^t" about our pets once the baby is born. Nice and not really, MOM.

Both of us - she was on speaker. Normally we see her, but she was away this weekend - less running around for us!

Normally he would and then I'd get on the phone or go on speaker, but DH was in the hospital so I called her by myself this year.

Neither, she texted me and said she would call DH later this week. They have a strained relationship (no contact for about 25 years so not unusual).

Hubs called and left a voicemail. She texted back!

She had spent the night at our house, but normally DH would ca,ll her. I don't think I've ever called her on my own.

We went out to eat with them, so we both said happy mother's day in person!

My mom and step dad came for Brunch at our house and then in the afternoon we went over for a visit to see his mom and dad.
I got all the gifts for both sides and signed the cards for us lol
I get along wonderfully with his mom so calling her wouldn't have been a big deal. -
DH calls her. I texted her, but it's still awkward when I call.

Well, we saw MIL on Saturday night and did the whole Mother's Day celebration then....but then DH called her yesterday, too.

DH. And he even called his grandmas! My grandparents (all four!) just happened to be at my mom's when I called her.

We actually saw my mother in law yesterday so we didn't have to worry about that this year! Normally though, we each call our respective mothers but send them a card/flowers from both of us.
