Hubby did, they rushed her off to check her for infection initially due to an elevated heart rate throughout my labor, so as soon as she was ready, hubby got to hold her while I was being stitched up. Not gonna lie I was super sad I didn't get to hold her until about 30 minutes after she was born, but it was really sweet to see hubby holding her for the first time!

The hospital staff that dealt with all the NICU stuff. Then, DH. The next day I finally got to.

Well, I had a c-section and Sawyer needed some resuscitation (bag-mask ventilation for 90 seconds) so it was OB-NICU RN-DH-Me a while later (I went to recovery while DH and LO went to maternity for him to be assessed and have blood work and monitoring.

I hope it works out where DH can hold her first like some of you did, but it sounds like that just may not happen due to how hectic those moments can be! As long as she's healthy, I'll be happy:) Even if my fantasy doesn't go down exactly like it does in my head:)
