I met my best friend in first grade, we were each other's maid of honor, and we still talk nearly every day - she's like a sister to me!

I met my best friend through DH's family because she was dating DH's cousin. We ended up getting married 2 weeks apart! Now we are kinda like cousins (in-law) haha

I don't have a best friend. Closest thing to a bff would be my sister

I met BFF through horseback riding, her mom came to the barn where I was riding to be our coach, that was when we were 11 or 12. We still talk daily

I met my best friend in college, freshman year. She was friends with a couple people who were friends with my friends, so we ended up hanging out one day all-together. The next morning, I remember going to breakfast with her and a couple of other people and thinking to myself "This girl is awesome, we MUST be best friends!" And we have been ever since (9 years).
I have another girl who I was best friends with, but we're not as close anymore. Also met in college (sophomore year) through a group we were both in (Society of Women Engineers). We became best friends when we started taking all the same classes and doing homework together. We were even each other's maids of honor. But this past year, we've grown apart as we're in different stages of our lives now. But I still consider her a best friend, just not as close as my 9 year+ best friend.

My BF back home I met in HS. We were in "homeroom" together.
I have been away from home for 8 years now. I met two dif people I consider BF when I was in the Navy. First one I met my first year in. We were in the same duty section and were going to "muster" and got to talking. She was from WI and I was from MN and we had a lot in common. Second friend I met my 2nd year in. In training. We were the only 2 girls in the group and our last names were so simular people got us confused all the time. Another WI girl actually.

I have three childhood best friends, and I would say they're still probably my closest friends. My MOH was my college roommate, and we're still close, but distance keeps us apart and I'm horrible at keeping in touch. So I'm close with all 4 girls, but I wouldn't single one out as my best friend. One of my childhood best friends married Rob Sr.'s college roommate (and probably his best friend), and they live right by us, so we're probably closest with them.
Quite honestly, Rob Sr. is my best friend... sorry to break the rules! Haha.

I met my bff at freshman orientation in college. We were placed in the same room together for the weekend. After two days we decided we wanted to room together for the year. We went on to live together for 6 years and were married 3 weeks apart.

My best friend and I met freshman year of college in 1996. We didn't become best friends until sophomore year when we both became RA's together. Although we live in different states, we've been each other's maid of honor, I'm the godmother to her 8 month old son and she'll be my baby's godmom. We are chosen sisters
(I started tearing up while writing this. I love her so much:)

Tough call. Met the mother of my godkids at church in high school, though we aren't that close any more (she's across the pond with 3 kids, working from home, etc - she doesn't have time.) Met another super-close friend in college through a COMPLETELY insane woman (who decided me and my friend were goddesses - literally. She was a stark raving lunatic. But both my friend and I were somehow able to tolerate her long enough to meet each other.) Met the third of my super-close friends in the Army, and I was at her son's birth and we became roommates at my 3rd barracks room move.

I met my best friend at a Cranberries concert when we were in High School. We shared mutual friends, and by college we were really close. We lived together till she moved to Texas, and I visit her as often as possible. Funny to see this topic, I just recommended Weddingbee to her because she got engaged this weekend.

I have two. One, we met in university. The other, we met at work - we both started on the same day. Her LO is just 2 weeks older than mine!

My husband honestly is my best friend. But as far as girlfriends go--I met her freshmen year of high school. We had English together where we constantly got in trouble for talking. That was eleven years ago.
My other best friend is technically my cousin through marriage, and I've known her my entire life. Both of these ladies are the closest things to sisters I have.

My best friend is my roomie from college. We weren't originally paired together, but we traded our original batshit crazy roommates for each other And she married my brother! So she's now my sister-in-law, too. Crazy, eh?

I met my best friend my first day at a new school when I wa 14. She was the first one to be nice to me after seeing me in three of her classes that day. In the last class of the day she "saved" me from a group of boys in the class. We still remember the first thing we said to each other.

i have two. one is a childhood best friend, and the other one is my "kindred spirit" whom i met in college.
my childhood best friend and i cheered together all through jr. high and high school and basically lived at eachother's houses. she was the maid of honor in my wedding.
my friend from college is basically me in another body. we have absolutely so much fun together and everytime we are together we cry so hard from laughing. she lives two states away though, so we only see each other 2 or 3 times a year.

I don't think I have a best friend my best friends that I grew up with and I recently grew apart. I met them in preschool and we remained friends through college. I got married ... and was never invited anywhere after that because apparently it's assumed that I only spend time with my husband. I had a baby.... and haven't seen them since Thanksgiving.
I guess I would say my sil. We were friends in high school, had freshman biology together. She met my brother through me,and it's pretty awesome to have a friend become part of your family.

i met my best friend junior year of high school when i transferred to a new school. she hated me for the first 4 months (i transferred from a really snobby public school to a small private school), but we were forced to work together on a history project. we then realized we're practically the same person in two extremely different bodies (she's 6'1 and i'm barely 5'4). we went to college together, lived together, and she was my maid of honor. i'd say she's more of a sister than a best friend though

We met at our summer jobs in the summer between our Sophomore and Junior years of college. She went to U Maine and I went to a school in MD, but we clicked that summer and never unclicked. We've been in each other's weddings, there for one another when needed, etc. We have never really lived in the same area, except for that summer, so I'm amazed we are still so close!
