Sometimes Charlie says mean things and then laughs because they're funny to him.
I can't tell if Charlie has a wonderful sense of humor, or if he's a psychopath. I think he's not a psychopath tho, because he seems pretty empathetic. Time will tell.

OMG, Charlie...
The meanest thing LO does is psych me out with her snacks. She'll take a Cheerio and bring it to my mouth and just as I open my mouth, she puts it in her mouth. Brat.

@Andrea: Bee and I both say that we're all best friends with each other... so his best friends are Mommy and Daddy and Olive and Grandma and [insert list of his daycare friends here too!].

@mrbee: That's a good idea. I haven't taught DD about best friends because I don't want to single anyone out but making it plural solves that problem.

@Andrea: Yah we were super worried about it, but the plural thing has worked out really nicely! In general, we never ever compare the kids to each other or ask them to rank or rate people against each other.

@mrbee: With my nanny LO's I always showed them that I was hurt by the things that I said; just like how they displayed their hurt feelings. Eventually the kids realize that if someone had said "x" to them, they wouldn't have been very happy.

Sometimes LO will laugh when we say owww, and then try to pinch us again to get a reaction.
