My sister and one of my high school besties. We're going to visit her next week, and I'm due to POAS at her house, ha! Hopefully we'll have exciting news to share with her!

My high school bestie and my parents (the hubs was too excited and told them!)...other than that, we're keeping quiet and if we're asked, we say: "we'll be ready for kids soon...." and then change the subject. less questions = less stress

I told my sisters and a couple of friends last fall but only one friend knows that we are having fertility problems.

Prior to finding out about my husband's infertility only my BFF knew. I told her because she is also TTC. But once we found out about the infertility and that he would be having surgery we told our parents. Their support during the surgery and recovery has been great.

We didn't tell anyone because we are very private people (I share much more here than in "real life"!). It helped that we never got any family pressure or questions on when we would have kids - so it was a conversation avoided entirely.

I'm not TTC. But when I did and next time I do nobody gets to know.

Only two very close friends know that we are now actively trying but I've mentioned many times that we want kids to family friends so I'm sure everyone's sort of tuned in to it! I don't mind but I don't want to come out and tell everyone so that they're all looking for it and expecting it, right?

At first only my sisters and my three closest friends knew. We are on cycle 7 now and because it's almost always on my mind I don't even bother keeping it secret anymore.

I haven't told anyone that we're TTC right now. Hubby has told one person.

I only told my best friend who lives far away and isn't friends with any of my other friends or family. I can totally trust her not to tell.

To everyone else who asks, we just say "Not now, but we know we'll have to start thinking about that soon". It's usually enough to satisfy curiosity and change the subject.

I have only told a couple girlfriends. I am sure they told their hubby's but no one else. This is our first month but I think that it is hard to not talk about it. Esp. cause people have asked me when are we going to try. I hate lying. I know that it is going to be 100 times harder to keep it a secret when we are pregnant!

It is SO hard to keep it a secret. I've told everyone I know pretty much that we'd love to start a family. I'm 30, have been married a year and am a teacher; what would they expect?!

My DH and I decided to keep it mostly a secret to eliminate the pressure. We agreed to tell 2 close friends, and we have told one so far. I wish I could tell more people! We were recently on a group trip to Hawaii and I was the only one not drinking… I don't' typically drink much, but I'm pretty sure they all figured it out.

After 4 years marriage and 19 months TTC, the better question is who doesn't know?!

It's fun to look back at this old thread! Last time, lots of people knew we'd try after our wedding. This time only my doctor and dentist knows and a close friend and my mom know we're considering it, but no specifics.
