It depends...sometimes I'll set out stuff or DH will pick. Our toddler is very picky about her pants so we let her decide in the morning! It doesn't always match but it makes her happy....

Whoever is getting her dressed that day. Usually me except for mondays. I like to pick!

I do, in that I set out 5 sets of outfits on the weekend, but my husband is in charge of the daily selection.

So far, it's mostly me, but DD is getting progressively more opinionated about things. These days there is usually a short negotiation before we agree on an outfit that she will wear. I'm generally fine with her picking one item, but I'm not sending her off to school in the mishmash of colors and patterns that she would pick if I allowed her to.

During the week, me. Cause I lay out Sunday during bath time (DH does) for the whole week. Whoever gets her up from her morning naps gets her dressed. Unless we are going some place special and I picked out her outfit already.
DH is cute though, he always makes sure she has a headband or clip to match her outfit.

Definitely me. She doesn't have an opinion yet, and since I'm home and DH is working, it's always me on duty during the week.

Me. DH gets her dressed and takes her to daycare but I leave an outfit out for her the night before.

You guys who set out a week's worth of outfits at a time are awesome! I really need to get into that habit!
DH will just leave LO in jammies all day! My mom dresses him on the day she babysits, but she always picks the outfits she bought!

@autumnlove: Yes, pretty much! Except for the one in the upper right. That looks like an outfit that I might pick. This morning DD wanted to wear heart tights and a pink t-shirt with a little girl on the front... and nothing else. We eventually compromised on wearing the t-shirt over a long-sleeved white onesie, along with a pair of jeans and socks.

Me. Always me. Even if DH is changing DS's diaper in his room on the dresser, he will always tell me to come pick out an outfit for DS for DH to change him into.
@cmomma17: DH is ALWAYS telling me to just leave DS in his pjs too! He's like what's wrong with that?! It's warm and comfy!!

@cmomma17: Do it! I put all the outfits in a pile in the closet. After bath I move one outfit to the dresser. Then that morning, throw them on after her diaper change. So much easier, esp. since mornings are busy with just me doing everything.

I need to start laying out outfits! I pick every outfit that LO wears out of the house, but yesterday my husband changed her out of her jammies into "real" clothes... I can't let this happen regularly.

I usually do, but if DH starts getting their clothes out, I try not to say anything about what he picks, which for the record, was a little challenging today. One of my children might or might not be wearing approx. 8 different colors including black corduroy pants with brown fuzzy shoes.

I do during the week and Sunday mornings. DH does other times. He was so proud of her jeans with a chambray shirt outfit this weekend. Bless his heart.

Either myself or my husband. DH's approach is to pick out a random assortment of the clothes he thinks are the cutest. It makes for some amusingly uncoordinated clothes but I'm happy that he's a) a hands on Dad and b) has any opinion at all on her clothes. If he thinks a pastel polka dot top and a pair of circus print pants are great together, more power to him. I'm sure LO's daycare teacher thinks her clothes are nuts.
I just make sure she always has a sweater and a spare pair of warm socks in her daycare bag because he sometimes forgets to check the weather when he picks stuff out.

I do! I love picking out her outfits. I usually pick them out the night before for the next day. I do find it pretty funny to see what DH picks out, on the very rare occasions that he has to get her dressed.

I usually do. She usually looks pretty crazy when DH gets there before I do. Oh well!

Whoever is home with him that day. We both are guilty of often leaving him in his sleep outfit on cold days when we're not taking him out of the house, though!

Whoever gets him dressed gets to pick out the outfit. LO often ends up in HUGE clothes (like 3 sizes too big) when DH dresses him. Drives me crazy!

I do, otherwise it's non-matching stripes/color combos. DD is starting to have an opinion...it's scary at 17 months!
nectarine / 2994 posts
I pick it about 90% of the time since I'm usually the one who dresses her. dh does pretty well with picking outfits though!

Pretty much always me. But when DH does he always puts him in sweats!

I usually do. I usually set out a week worth of outfits since Charlie has a bigger dresser, then just pick Olive's in the morning. I don't care what they wear to school but I just want to make sure they are warm enough.

My husband dresses C 95% of the time. He's actually better at it than I am! But we both like contrasting patterns and colors, so @autumnlove: we would be fine with any of those outfits!

@AUTUMNLOVE: i see nothing wrong with your LO's outfits! she is a print-mixing maven - love it!

I do. When I have time, I try to go through her clothes and pick outfits that need to be worn before they are outgrown and keep those out.

@Mrs. Blue: Hahaha!
Usually me. If it's a whatever day, I let LO pick what he wants. DH knows if we are going somewhere he just asks me to pull what I want him to put on LO lol.

I pick out the kids clothes every day! When I was in the hospital after having DD my husband struggled haha
