LO will be 1 yr old in less than a month.

We have always struggled with solids. it's only been in the past 2 months that he didn't gag when swallowing food with any texture (and on the flip side he really doesn't care for purees hardly at all!)

So at 11 months typical day's worth of food is similar to this:
30-32oz formula
7-8 pea-sized bites of waffle
2-3 blueberries
1/3 cup puffs
6-8 beans
3-4 bites of salmon

the above is a good day of solids.

I don't see how he can flourish if formula is reduced when he's eating so little, but I read that toddler should have 16-24oz of whole milk max.

do you just reduce milk so they eat more solids out of desperation?
