we usually spend thanksgiving with my family since we all live in the same city and my husband gets just the one day off.
but this year, we're spending the entire extended weekend (thursday to sunday) with his family. it's his dad's 70th birthday later this month, so we're combining thanksgiving with an early celebration. we rented a house up in wine country and we'll be having our thanksgiving feast up there.

Both. My family does the turkey trot and a brunch in the morning, and his family does the traditional dinner. We really lucked out, it's easy for us!

Usually spend Thanksgiving with my side of the family because it's usually on/around my Mom's birthday and she loves to do Las Vegas for her birthday. If we stay in town, my in-laws have invited my family over to their thing as well (so combined?)
I imagine next year after LO, we'll host a Thanksgiving at our house.

I can't decide if it's lucky or not that we're all in the same town - will do one dinner at noon with his family, one dinner at 4 with mine. I'm not sure how my stomach is going to hold all that, but at least we get to see everyone we love!

I'm Canadian so we've already had TG, but I was so excited to make the trip home to spend it with my family this year. Usually we stay here and spend it with the ILs

Well, we just did a "pre-Thanksgiving/wedding presey opening party" yesterday with both of our parents, but on the actual Thanksgiving day, we'll be at his parents.

We rotate holidays by year, so this year its my family for Thanksgiving and his family for Christmas. (Our parents live about 2000 miles apart.) It's been working out really well for us so far.

With my brother's wife's family (her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews) and my mother. So a little strange but not bad. It's only 6 hours from home though I prefer doing my own thing at home.

We will be spending Thanksgiving with my cousin and his wife & baby girl. They will probably invite some of their friends as well.

Both. I won't be seeing as many family members/cousins as I normally do, which I'm pretty bummed about. But we will be spending time with immediate family.
We're hosting DH's family in our new house for the first time! *gulp* That will be fun, and nerve-wracking, especially at 9 months pregnant!
My mom is also having a get-together a few days after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, she just found out she has mono 
So we'll see how that pans out.

We always spend it with my side because DH is Canadian but this year my cousin is getting married two days later so my whole family is at the wedding. It's too far/too late for me to fly so I'm stuck in Canada with no turkey dinner. Boo.

Both of our immediate families are pretty far away, and in past years we have visited them for Christmas. Technically, we spend Thanksgiving day with my side, because we go to my great Aunt's house since they are the only family nearby. This year we are also going to DH's uncle's house about 2 hours away on Friday.

We usually do both on Thanksgiving day. This year since we don't want to try to do too much at once to avoid stressing LO out so we're doing Wednesday with my dad, Thursday with his immediate family, and Friday with my mom and brother.

Both, but I didn't vote in the poll because we have hosted Thanksgiving for both sides of our families for the last 4 years, it's great that we don't have to drive anywhere or deal with family drama of who gets us for what meal and that makes me happy!!

We'll be spending Thanksgiving day with my family. They'll watch our daughter for us that evening so we can black friday shop and then we'll pick her up Friday morning and head to my husband's parent's house for dinner with them. They moved their Thanksgiving to Friday to accommodate some out of town guests.

His, but we've never spent it with his family since we hate flying around Thanksgiving and I only get one day off. But since I'm still on maternity leave, we decided to fly out a week early with LO. Looking forward to some turkey!!

Both. We have three 1+ hr drives with our 9 week old. My sister is in town so we have to/want to go to my family's, and not showing up to DH's family would be a horrible insult, even though they will all see him at his baptism the following week.

We are doing turkey lunch at his parents' house, then ravioli dinner at my parents' with his family and my mom's, and then brunch on Friday with my dad's family because they cannot make it on Thursday. There will be 37 or so for ravioli! I think they are going to have to roll me home after all that food.
