I'll put my LO in her seat first, then put my groceries in the car.
LAst time I was at the market I saw a toddler chilling in the cart by a car with her mom no where in sight.. -.-

I put Sawyer in first, then the groceries. When it is hot out I use my command start when we are checking out to make sure the car isn't too hot when I put him in.

If it's hot out (like it's been these days), I have LO in the cart by my side as I load the car. Then I take the cart back and carry LO with me to the car. If the weather is normal then she goes in first.

I keep DD in the cart by me until I get the car started. It's just too hot to put her in the car first.

If I can park right next to the cart return then E goes in first and I turn the AC on before I unload the groceries. Otherwise he'll stay in the cart until I put the cart in the rack and I'll carry him back.

With two 2 & under, I always stress out about which one to put in first, because one will always be left in the cart! Typically I put the littlest one in first, and unload the cart (putting things on the floor around his carseat) while watching my older one. Then, I put him in, lock the car, and run the cart back to the return and run back - which means that I have to park near the cart return. I do worry that someone will see one of them in the cart and think I'm being irresponsible. But, I only have so many arms!!

I like to think that I'd put LO in first, but if it were very hot, I'm not sure.
