We switched DS from crib to his crib with toddler rails (it converts) back during the first of September when I had hubs home for the long Labor Day weekend. It was rough for a few days but otherwise he settled down quickly. DS was 19 months.

But suddenly he's taken to trying to wiggle -under- his bed. Since the mattress setting is obviously on the lowest setting for the rails, there's not much clearance. He doesn't know to duck his shoulders down and turn his head to fit all of him under the bed. So all he can fit is his legs, waist, and part of his trunk.

We'll be putting him to bed and lay him down like normal when suddenly we'll hear some thumping, whimpering, then crying. We go in and he's under the bed. He can get out fine by himself but keeps getting stuck so we'll rescue him. And it's not just at bedtime. He does it in the middle of the night and the early morning, then wake us with crying and screaming. The solution is to put something under the bed but we're not sure what but has anyone else had this issue?

Why is he doing this??
